Leaders of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Extend Holi Greetings, Emphasise Unity and Harmony

Hyderabad/Amaravati, March 2026 : Governors and Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday extended warm greetings to people on the occasion of Holi, highlighting the festival’s message of harmony, unity, and the triumph of good over evil as celebrations unfolded across the two Telugu states.

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma conveyed heartfelt wishes to the people of the state, describing Holi as a vibrant and meaningful festival that strengthens bonds of fraternity and togetherness. In his message, the Governor said Holi symbolises peace and prosperity while reinforcing the spirit of national integration through joyful celebrations.

He noted that the festival transcends social barriers and brings people together, reinforcing the social fabric of society. Referring to the legends associated with Holi, Governor Varma said they reflect the enduring power of truth and the victory of good over evil, values that continue to guide society.

Extending his greetings, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy wished the people a joyful and colourful Holi. He said the festival represents a rainbow of love, affection, happiness, peace, and brotherhood. Calling Holi a symbol of unity beyond caste and religion, the Chief Minister urged people to celebrate the festival with enthusiasm while preserving traditional values.

CM Revanth Reddy appealed to citizens to use natural colours and celebrate Holi in an eco-friendly manner. He said such mindful celebrations would help preserve the cultural and environmental significance of the festival while spreading happiness across communities.

In Andhra Pradesh, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the festive occasion. He described Holi as a colourful and joyous festival that nurtures goodwill and fraternity while promoting peace and prosperity in society.

Governor Nazeer said the spirit of Holi strengthens faith in national integration through collective celebration. He emphasised that the festival rises above social divisions, reinforces harmony, and symbolises the eternal triumph of truth and righteousness over evil.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also greeted the people on the occasion of Holi. In his message, he said the festival, which begins with Kama Dahana, signifies the victory of good over evil and brings new colours of hope, happiness, and positivity into people’s lives.

CM Naidu expressed hope that the festival would inspire people to share joy with family members, friends, and neighbours, strengthening social bonds. He wished that Holi fills every household with peace, harmony, and lasting happiness.

Across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the messages from constitutional heads and elected leaders echoed a common theme—celebrating Holi not just as a festival of colours, but as an occasion to reaffirm unity, mutual respect, and the shared cultural values that bind society together.
