Surguja Students Visit President, Thank CM Sai for Golden Opportunity

Five girl students from Surguja, Jashpur, Surajpur and Balrampur districts of Surguja division had a courtesy meeting with Her Excellency President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu in the capital Delhi on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. On this occasion, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan encouraged the children after knowing their well-being and wished everyone a bright future. The girls expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the administration with great enthusiasm for this golden opportunity.

The girls were selected on the basis of excellent performance in sports, music and other activities along with studies, which included Jyoti, a student of Kasturba Residential School Lakhanpur from Surguja, Riya and Rajni Chauhan from Jashpur district, Nandini Kindo from Surajpur and Prashansha from Balrampur. Superintendent Anuradha Singh was selected as in-charge with the children of Surguja division by the state office and sent to Delhi.

During her meeting with the students, Her Excellency President Mrs. Murmu congratulated them on Rakshabandhan and while explaining the importance of Rakshabandhan festival, she took information from the students about their studies and life goals and suggested them to make honest efforts to achieve their goals. She took information from the students about Chhattisgarh’s culture, natural beauty and other specialties. The students tied Rakhi to her and also gave her gifts. The
students were thrilled and excited to meet the President for the first time and visit important places of the country’s capital New Delhi. The students who returned to Raipur on Thursday met MD Samagra Shiksha Mr. Sanjeev Jha and SCERT Director Mr. Rajendra Katara, Deputy Director Samagra Shiksha Mr. Rajesh Singh and other officials and shared the experience of the first flight along with the golden memories of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Delhi and thanked them for providing this opportunity. Senior officials also encouraged the children and motivated them to excel in all other fields along with studies in the future so that such opportunities can be available again in the future.

District Collector Mr. Vilas Bhoskar, CEO District Panchayat Mr. Nutan Kanwar, Joint Director Education Mr. Sanjay Gupta, DEO Mr. Ashok Sinha and DMC Ravi Shankar Tiwari congratulated the superintendent and students for their achievement and inspired them to continue doing such excellent work in future.
