Mines Department Achieves Over ₹8,888 Crore Revenue with 12% Growth by February

Jaipur, March 2026: The Mines and Geology Department has recorded revenue collection of more than ₹8,888.80 crore up to February with a growth rate of 12 per cent, despite adverse conditions. Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology, T. Ravikant, said that a strategy has been finalised at the field level to achieve a revenue target of over ₹1,500 crore in March, the final month of the financial year 2025–26.

Reviewing the progress at a meeting held at the Mineral Bhawan, Jaipur, the Principal Secretary informed that the revenue collected up to February is ₹952 crore higher than that recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year. He also highlighted that February 2026 witnessed a historic achievement, with a record revenue collection of ₹1,060 crore—the highest ever in the department’s history for the month of February. He congratulated departmental officers for surpassing the target of over ₹1,000 crore set for the month.

Principal Secretary Ravikant directed officials to prepare a detailed action plan in advance for the time-bound implementation of budget announcements and to complete all necessary preparations for the auction of mineral blocks and plots from April onwards. He also instructed officials to focus on the recovery of all old dues as well as potential outstanding amounts. To maximise revenue collection in March, instructions have been issued to keep all Mines Department offices open even on holidays.

Director, Mines, Mahavir Prasad Meena stated that districts including Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Bhilwara, and Rajsamand have achieved more than 100 per cent recovery against their February targets. He expressed confidence that the department would successfully meet all revenue targets set for March as well.

During the meeting, officials were also directed to ensure timely replies to pending Assembly questions, expedite the preparation of plots and blocks, submit implementation plans for budget घोषणाएँ, and ensure swift disposal of cases on the Sampark Portal.

The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Arvind Saraswat, Additional Director (Headquarters) Mahesh Mathur, Additional Director Jai Gurubakshani, OSD Shrikrishna Sharma, SG Sunil Kumar Verma, SME Jaipur N.S. Shaktawat, Pratap Meena, Bharatpur SME Sunil Sharma, ADG Gopalaram, S.N. Dodia, Superintending Geologist Sanjay Saxena, Harisingh Nathawat, and other senior officials.
