Meeting Held in Aizawl on Upcoming Indian Air Force Airmen Recruitment Rally

Aizawl, March 2026: A meeting was held today at the DC Conference Hall in Aizawl under the chairmanship of Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Er. Lalhriatpuia to discuss preparations for the upcoming Indian Air Force (IAF) Airmen Recruitment Rally. The meeting was attended by Wing Commander Muralidharan, Commanding Officer of the 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati, along with other officials.

The recruitment rally for Airmen under the Indian Air Force is scheduled to be held from March 8 to March 13, 2026, at Zokhawsang near Aizawl.

During the meeting, officials from the 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati, who arrived in Mizoram to conduct the recruitment process, discussed coordination with the Mizoram government. Various departments were assigned responsibilities to ensure smooth organization of the rally and to provide necessary support for the visiting recruitment team.

Addressing the meeting, Wing Commander Lalrinsanga, Commanding Officer of 1 Mizo Air Squadron NCC, Mizoram, highlighted that this recruitment rally is being organized in Mizoram after a gap of nine years. He noted that in the past nine years no new Mizo youth have joined the Airmen ranks of the Indian Air Force. Because of this gap, there has even been a shortage of Mizo instructors in the NCC Air Wing, he added.

The meeting emphasized the need to encourage as many young people from Mizoram as possible to participate in the recruitment rally. Officials expressed hope that the event would attract large participation from local youth and open new opportunities for them to serve in the Air Force.
