‘Dholkifad Tamasha Festival’ to Begin in Navi Mumbai from March 9

Mumbai, March 2026: The Directorate of Cultural Affairs Maharashtra regularly organizes various cultural programmes. As part of these initiatives, a Dholkifad Tamasha Festival will be held from March 9 to March 13, 2026.

The festival will take place daily at 6:30 pm at CIDCO Sector 5, Gavdevi Ground, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai.

The performances scheduled during the festival are as follows:

  • March 9, 2026: Performance by Tamasha Empress Vithabai Narayangaonkar Loknatya Tamasha Mandal from Narayangaon, Pune district.
  • March 10, 2026: Performance by Queen of Music Kamal Anil Karadkar Loknatya Tamasha Mandal from Agashivnagar, Dangatvasti, Karad, Satara district.
  • March 11, 2026: Performance by Vag Samrat Shantaram Chavan Dahivatkar Loknatya Tamasha Mandal from Dahivat, Amalner, Jalgaon district.
  • March 12, 2026: Performance by Tamasha Maharshi Anandrao Mahajan Loknatya Tamasha Mandal from Asoda Road, Shanipeth, Jalgaon.
  • March 13, 2026: Performance by Tamasha Samrat Tukaram Khedkar along with Pandurang Mule Manjarwadikar Loknatya Tamasha Mandal from Narayangaon, Pune district.

The festival will be conducted under the guidance of Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar and Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department Kiran Kulkarni.

Director of Cultural Affairs Shriram Pande has stated that the festival will be open to the public free of charge and has appealed to cultural enthusiasts from the Navi Mumbai region to attend and enjoy the performances.
