Emirates Resumes Flights After Temporary Suspension at Dubai Airport

New Delhi, March 2026 : Emirates on Saturday announced that it has resumed flight operations after briefly suspending services to and from Dubai International Airport earlier in the day due to safety concerns.

The airline shared the update on the social media platform X, informing passengers that flight operations had restarted and advising those with confirmed bookings for flights scheduled later in the day to proceed to the airport.

According to the airline, the updated advisory applies not only to passengers departing from Dubai but also to travellers transiting through the airport, as long as their connecting flights are operating as scheduled.

“Our post from 11:08am Dubai time regarding operational status is no longer current, and has been deleted to avoid causing unnecessary confusion,” the airline said in its update.

“Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai if their connecting flight is also operating,” the airline added.

The airline advised travellers to verify the status of their flights and seat availability through its official communication channels before leaving for the airport. This step, it said, would help ensure that passengers only travel to the airport if their flights are operating according to schedule.

Emirates also said it will continue to closely monitor the situation and adjust its operational schedule if necessary, depending on evolving circumstances.

“Emirates continues to monitor the situation, and we will develop our operational schedule accordingly,” the airline stated.

The carrier thanked its customers for their patience and understanding during the temporary disruption. It reiterated that the safety of passengers and crew members remains its top priority.

“We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised,” the airline said.

Earlier in the day, Emirates had announced a temporary suspension of all flights to and from Dubai, advising passengers not to travel to the airport while operations were halted.

In that earlier statement, the airline had indicated that services would remain suspended until further notice and that further updates would be shared once more information became available. The airline had emphasised that the suspension was implemented to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

However, the airline later removed the earlier message from its social media account, stating that the information was no longer accurate and could create confusion among travellers.

By resuming operations and issuing the latest advisory, Emirates has sought to clarify the situation for passengers and restore normal travel schedules as quickly as possible while continuing to prioritise operational safety and passenger convenience.
