State-level stage set for 850 children from 75 districts to display their talent

850 children from 75 districts will display their talent and 23 girls will be felicitated
Students representing 746 KGBVs, 45,656 upper primary and composite schools, and 1,129 PM SHRI chools will participate in the event
The state-level program will be organized under the leadership and guidance of Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh; it will present a lively glimpse of the efforts being made by the department for girls’ education, safety, and their empowerment
Lucknow, March 2026 : In the direction of providing a new platform for acknowleding the self-respect, talent, and leadership abilities of girls across the state, the state-level children’s festival organized on the theme ‘Pragati – Atmasamman Se Samnata Tak on the occassion of International Women’s Day’ will witness a confluence of diverse talents from across the state. This event, representing students connected with 746 Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools, 45,656 Upper Primary and Composite Schools, and 1129 PM-Shri Schools, will feature talented children selected from 18 divisions after a three-stage selection process at the district, divisional, and now state level. These children will demonstrate confidence and leadership abilities through their creative presentations.
During the program, 23 girls who have made special contributions in the fields of sports, education, and social change will be felicitated. These girls have created a distinct identity through their remarkable achievements. Their inspiring accomplishments will become a source of inspiration for other children and will further strengthen the message of self-respect, equality, and an empowered future for daughters in society.
In this state-level program organized under the leadership and guidance of Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, a lively glimpse of the efforts being made by the Basic Education Department for the education, safety, and empowerment of girls will also be seen. The confidence and leadership developing among girls through programs run in schools such as the Rani Lakshmibai Self-Defence Training Program, Life Skills Education, Meena Manch, and Self-Esteem initiatives will be clearly visible on this platform.
The entire process of the children’s festival was completed in three stages. In the first stage, children were selected through various competitions in 75 districts of the state. After this, in the second stage, divisional-level children’s festivals were organized in 18 divisions, where about 850 children from 75 districts who gave excellent performances secured their place for the state-level program. Now, in this state-level event, these selected children will showcase their talents through drama, dance, song, yoga, dialogue, and other creative activities.
At the venue, 22 stalls based on different themes will be set up. Through these stalls, information related to activities such as social-emotional learning, leadership development, parent participation, and career counseling will be provided.
