Central Sarna Committee Invites Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren to Sarhul Cultural Event

Ranchi, March 2026 : A delegation from the Central Sarna Committee, Kanke, paid a courtesy visit to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly premises and invited him to attend an upcoming cultural programme ahead of the Sarhul festival.

During the meeting, the delegation extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to attend the 47th Sarhul Puja eve celebration, where a Jharkhand-level Nagpuri cultural programme will be organized. The event is scheduled to take place on March 19, 2026 (Thursday) at the Sarna Ground in Kanke, and the committee requested the Chief Minister to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Members of the delegation informed the Chief Minister that the programme will showcase traditional Nagpuri cultural performances and highlight the rich heritage and traditions associated with the Sarhul festival, which holds great cultural and spiritual significance for the tribal communities of Jharkhand.

The delegation included Central Sarna Committee President Ranjeet Toppo, Secretary Suraj Toppo, Patron Sumit Toppo, Phoolmani Toppo, Mohan Oraon, Pepla Pahan, Gudiya Toppo, and Manish Kumar.

On the occasion, MLA Rajesh Kachhap and MLA Suresh Kumar Baitha were also present during the meeting. The Chief Minister appreciated the invitation and the efforts being made to preserve and promote Jharkhand’s traditional cultural heritage.
