Adequate LPG Supply in Rajasthan, No Shortage: CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur, March 2026 : Bhajanlal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, said that the supply of domestic LPG gas in the state is fully normal and running smoothly, with adequate availability for household consumers.

Chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Wednesday, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure effective monitoring and management of the entire supply chain—from availability to distribution—so that LPG supply remains uninterrupted. He instructed the establishment of control rooms at both state and district levels to closely monitor the situation. He also directed that leave of employees of the Food and Civil Supplies Department be cancelled to prioritize uninterrupted supply to citizens.

The Chief Minister emphasized that district-level monitoring and inspections should be carried out regularly to ensure that consumers do not face any inconvenience. Strict vigilance should be maintained against hoarding or black marketing of LPG gas and petroleum products, and strict action should be taken against those found involved in such activities. District Collectors and concerned officials have been directed to conduct inspections and maintain continuous monitoring.

Sharma also directed authorities to keep watch on rumours and misleading information during such situations and to take strict action against those spreading misinformation. He said citizens should be provided regular and accurate updates about LPG availability and supply through official channels.

He further instructed that gas cylinder supply to essential institutions such as educational institutions, hospitals, and other critical services should remain uninterrupted. Departments at the state and district levels have been asked to coordinate with oil companies and gas distributors to regularly review the stock and supply of LPG cylinders.

The Chief Minister appealed to residents of the state not to pay attention to rumours. He stated that the Government of India is closely monitoring international developments, and under its guidance, the supply system in the state remains fully stable. He urged citizens to trust official information and contact government helplines 181 and 112 if they face any issues.

During the meeting, V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary, informed that joint teams at the state and district levels are being formed to provide accurate information about LPG availability and supply to the public. A representative of the state coordination team of oil companies also briefed the meeting on LPG availability, stating that domestic consumers are receiving LPG cylinders at their homes through DAC authentication.

Senior officials, including Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Director General of Police, along with officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and departments such as Industry, Tourism, Home, Animal Husbandry, Transport, and representatives of oil companies, were present at the meeting.
