Adequate Domestic LPG Stock in Rajasthan, Monitoring Committees Formed: Chief Secretary

Jaipur, March 2026 : V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, held an important hybrid meeting on Wednesday at the Rajasthan Secretariat with all District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, senior officials of various departments, and representatives of oil marketing companies to ensure compliance with the directions issued by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma regarding the supply of domestic LPG cylinders.

The meeting was conducted via video conference, with Collectors and SPs from across the state joining virtually.

The Chief Secretary stated that under the LPG Control Order issued by the Government of India on March 9, the supply of commercial gas cylinders has been restricted, but domestic LPG supply for household consumers is continuing smoothly. He assured that adequate stock of domestic LPG cylinders is available across the state, and there is no need for the public to panic.

He also emphasized that uninterrupted and regular LPG supply will continue for hospitals, educational institutions, and other essential services. Officials were instructed to ensure adequate gas supply for all Annapurna community kitchens operating in the state.

Monitoring Committees at State and District Levels

To ensure effective monitoring of the domestic LPG supply process, the Chief Secretary directed the formation of monitoring committees at both state and district levels. These committees will include officials from the Police Department and the Food and Civil Supplies Department, along with representatives of oil marketing companies.

The committees will monitor stocking, transportation, and distribution of domestic LPG cylinders based on demand and supply, and ensure strict action against black marketing or misuse of domestic cylinders for other purposes.

Three Helplines to Report Black Marketing

The Chief Secretary instructed district authorities to take prompt action on complaints related to black marketing, illegal storage, or misuse of LPG cylinders received through helpline numbers. Citizens can report such issues through:

  • Police Helpline – 112
  • Rajasthan Sampark Helpline – 181
  • Consumer Affairs Helpline – 14435

He said that control rooms set up at the state and district levels as per the Chief Minister’s directions will function continuously to monitor LPG supply and ensure easy availability for the public.

Daily Press Briefings at District Level

The Chief Secretary directed all District Collectors to provide daily updates to the media about the status of LPG supply so that citizens remain informed and no misinformation or confusion arises.

Ambrish Kumar, Secretary of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, assured that the department will fully implement the directives issued by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and the Chief Secretary to ensure smooth availability of domestic LPG cylinders to consumers.

During the meeting, Manoj Gupta, representative of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), informed that the supply of cooking gas is under control and companies are continuously supplying domestic LPG cylinders. He added that the distribution process is being carried out transparently through e-KYC and Delivery Authentication Code (DAC).

Senior officials from various departments, divisional commissioners, district collectors, superintendents of police, and representatives of oil and gas companies also attended the meeting.
