Our Pledge: Employment for Every Hand, Water for Every Field: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Harda district has established a distinct identity across all sectors of development and has achieved 100 per cent irrigation coverage over its agricultural land. He noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the mantra of welfare for four key sections—poor, farmers, youth, and women; and that the state government is working with a focused approach for all these groups, along with industrial and infrastructure development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is among the fastest states in providing employment to youth. Under the Ladli Behna scheme, women are receiving ₹1,500 per month, and those engaged in employment-based industries will be provided an additional ₹5,000. Highlighting the importance of women in Indian culture, he said the government is establishing Sandipani schools for children’s better future, with three such schools sanctioned for Harda. Students are being provided free books, bicycles and milk, while meritorious students are being encouraged with laptops and scooters.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is committed to ensuring employment for every hand and water for every field. He addressed a state-level Kasan Sammelan in Harda, focused on agriculture-based skill development and custom hiring.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 41 development works worth around ₹232 crore in Harda district, including the inauguration of 36 works costing ₹199 crore and Bhoomi Poojan of 5 works worth ₹32 crore. The Chief Minister visited an exhibition of modern agricultural equipment and urged farmers to adopt advanced machinery to enhance productivity. He announced that agricultural equipment centres (custom hiring centres) will be opened in every assembly constituency. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed benefits to women from self-help groups, drip irrigation kits to farmers and assistance related to crop residue management and food processing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lord Balram is an ideal for farmers. The state has initiated “Farmer Welfare Year” and is promoting horticulture and animal husbandry along with agriculture. To increase farmers’ income, a decision has been taken to raise the contribution of milk production from 9 per cent to 20 per cent. He stated that farmers in Harda now have opportunities to benefit from cage culture-based fish farming. The government is committed to ensuring fair prices for wheat. This year, wheat is being procured at ₹2,625 per quintal, including a ₹40 bonus, and soon it will be increased to ₹2,700 per quintal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised proper crop residue management and encouraged farmers to adopt organic and natural farming. He urged farmers not to burn stubble, as it harms soil fertility. Special arrangements are being made to facilitate the sale of natural farming produce in mandis. Small farmers will be able to access advanced agricultural equipment on rent through newly established centres.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted innovative measures such as providing machines to gaushalas for converting crop residue into fodder. The government has doubled the grant for gaushalas from ₹20 to ₹40 per cow and is expanding the number. He stated that B.Sc. Agriculture courses have been introduced in 11 state universities and 20 colleges, beginning from Ujjain. Farmers were encouraged to establish agro-based industries, with the government offering up to 50 per cent subsidy and full support from farm to factory.

Chief Minister Flags off ‘Agri Rath’

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspected modern agricultural equipment displayed under custom hiring and operated a self-propelled multi-tool bar, ideal for small and marginal farmers and suitable for horticulture and inter-cultivation. He also flagged off an “Agri Rath” to promote agricultural schemes and raise awareness about crop residue management. A short film on stubble management was screened during the event, and farmer Shri Aniket Lodhi from Gram Nahalkheda shared his successful experience using a Super Seeder.

Chief Minister Welcomes Farmers with Flower Petal Shower

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed farmers by showering flower petals during the event. He was presented with bamboo planters under the ‘One District–One Product’ initiative, under which bamboo has been selected for Harda. He also highlighted the River Linking Campaign to expand irrigation coverage, noting that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project is benefiting farmers in 13 districts. The state has achieved over 55 lakh hectares of irrigated area, with an increase of 10 lakh hectares in the past two years, and aims to reach 100 lakh hectares in the next five years. Measures are also being taken to protect crops from animals like nilgai. He stated that after the successful reintroduction of cheetahs in Kuno National Park, wild buffalo will also be introduced on March 25.

Bamboo Planters Presented under ‘One District–One Product’ Initiative

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was presented with bamboo planters under the “One District–One Product” initiative. Notably, bamboo has been selected as the designated product for the district under this scheme.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state has launched a River Linking Campaign to expand irrigation coverage. Under the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal (PKC) project, farmers in 13 districts are benefiting from irrigation facilities. The state has achieved over 55 lakh hectares of irrigated area, with an increase of 10 lakh hectares in the past two years, and has set a target of reaching 100 lakh hectares in the next five years. He stated that the Forest Department is undertaking appropriate measures to protect crops from animals such as nilgai. Following the successful rehabilitation of cheetahs in Kuno National Park in Sheopur, wild buffalo are also set to be introduced into the state’s forests on March 25.

Commitment to a Prosperous State: Minister Shri Sarang

Sports and Cooperation Minister and District In-charge Minister for Harda, Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is committed to making the state prosperous. Development and public welfare works are being implemented rapidly across all sectors.

He noted that 17 departments have been integrated for farmers’ welfare, and new benefits are being extended under the “Farmer Welfare Year.” The government aims to maximise farmers’ income and ensure fair prices for crops through mechanisms such as the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the Bhavantar Payment Scheme. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh will play a significant role in building a developed India and is progressing towards becoming a “golden state.” The government is strengthening both agriculture and farmers, and 75 new Cooperative Inspectors have been recruited in the Cooperation Department.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is Beloved by the People of the State: Former Minister Shri Patel

Former Minister Shri Kamal Patel said that under the leadership of states beloved Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has moved towards the ranks of developed states within the past two years. He described Harda’s agricultural mandi as a model market and noted that the district ranks among the best in the state across sectors. He also highlighted the construction of a new 232-km four-lane road connecting Harda to Jabalpur, for which the tender has been issued. The road will improve connectivity with Pipariya, Sohagpur, and Narsinghpur.

Short Film on Narvai Management Screened

A short film on Narvai management was screened during the event by the Agriculture Department. Shri Aniket Lodhi, a B.Sc. Agriculture student from Gram Nahalkheda shared his successful experience of managing crop residue using a Super Seeder.

The event was attended by Harda MLA Shri Ramkishore Dogne, District Panchayat President Shri Gajendra Shah, Vice President Shri Darshan Singh Gehlot, Municipal Council Chairperson Smt. Bharti Raju Kamediya, other public representatives, and a large number of farmers.
