Eighth Instalment of ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’ Distributed by CM Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai, March 2026 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis distributed the eighth instalment of the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’ scheme, transferring ₹1,798.78 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 89 lakh farmer families through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
A total of 89,75,298 farmer families received the financial assistance under the scheme. The distribution ceremony was held at the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai and was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane, Industries and Marathi Language Minister Uday Samant, School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse, Minister of State Ashish Jaiswal, along with senior officials.
Under the eighth instalment, funds were distributed district-wise across Maharashtra. Major allocations included ₹108.30 crore to Ahilyanagar, ₹97.52 crore to Solapur, ₹92.33 crore to Kolhapur, ₹87.07 crore to Satara, ₹85.24 crore to Pune, ₹83.86 crore to Nashik, ₹77.40 crore to Jalgaon, ₹76.50 crore to Nanded, ₹75.49 crore to Sangli, and ₹72.70 crore to Beed, among others.
The scheme has been a key initiative aimed at providing direct financial support to farmers in the state. As of March 24, 2026, a total of ₹13,017.30 crore has been transferred to around 93.08 lakh farmer families through seven previous instalments under the scheme.
The ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’ continues to play a crucial role in strengthening the financial stability of farmers by ensuring timely assistance directly into their bank accounts.
