Saints Dedicated to Global Welfare, Cultural Preservation: CM Sharma

Jaipur, March 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday said that the lives of saints are devoted to the welfare of the world and the preservation of Sanatan culture, adding that their guidance helps individuals lead meaningful and purposeful lives.

Addressing the Sant Sansad programme organised by Network 10 in Jaipur, the Chief Minister emphasised that the state government is actively working towards the protection and promotion of religious, cultural, and spiritual traditions across Rajasthan.

He highlighted that over the past two years, the government has approved financial allocations for organising grand year-round festivals at state-managed temples. In addition, the honorarium of temple priests has been increased to support their contributions.

Sharma further stated that the government is implementing a structured roadmap for the conservation and development of major pilgrimage sites in the state. Key religious destinations such as Poonchari Ka Lotha, Khatu Shyam Ji, and Pushkar are being developed to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees. He added that initiatives like the Krishna Gaman Path are being pursued to strengthen and preserve the legacy of Sanatan culture.

The Chief Minister also underlined the government’s commitment to cow protection and welfare. He said that gaushalas are being provided financial assistance, with a subsidy of Rs 50 per day for the fodder of cows and Rs 25 per day for calves. Additionally, steps have been taken to ensure proper infrastructure in gaushalas, including tin sheds, access to water, and adequate medical care.

Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, MLAs Kuldeep Dhankad and Balmukundacharya, and Mahant 1008 Naresh Puri Ji Maharaj of Mehndipur Balaji were present at the event, along with a large number of saints and spiritual leaders.
