Children Receive Message of Unity

Lucknow, March 2026 : Strength or intelligence alone is not enough in life; kindness and unity are equally important. This message was conveyed to children on Monday through a story narrated by Storyman Jitesh.

The 79th session of the monthly “Grandmother’s Tales” series, organised by the Folk Culture Research Institute, was held at the Neelakshi Informal Education Centre in Sector-D, Jankipuram. Children participated enthusiastically in the event, which began with exercises on the pronunciation of difficult words and sentences.

On this occasion, a story about three brothers—Bahubali, Buddhiram, and Nekchandra Chaubey—was shared. Each brother symbolised strength, intelligence, and kindness respectively. Due to their unity, they were considered role models in their village. However, misunderstandings created distance between them.

One day, when a girl was drowning in a river, the three brothers forgot their differences and came together to rescue her. Their combined efforts saved the girl safely. This incident made them realise once again the true importance of unity.

At the end of the programme, children were given the message that success in life requires not just strength, intelligence, and kindness, but also cooperation and unity.

Among those present on the occasion were Raj Verma, Neelam Verma, Sapna, Pushpa Devi, Dr. S.K. Gopal, and others.
