RTE Admissions 2026–27: 4.44 Lakh Applications, 39,873 Children Enrolled as Process Advances with Transparency
Lucknow, March 2026 : The admission process under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic year 2026–27 is progressing effectively across the state. So far, a total of 444,771 applications have been received, 195,740 seats have been allotted, and admission of 39,873 children has been ensured. The implementation has been strengthened through firm administrative commitment and continuous monitoring. Clear instructions have been issued to ensure admission of all eligible students, making the entire process more transparent and accountable.
Across various districts, the process of facilitating admissions for children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups into private schools is being carried out smoothly. This initiative is not only helping realise the Right to Education on the ground but also strengthening social inclusion. Regular reviews at district and block levels are being conducted to ensure that every eligible child benefits from the scheme.
