Adani’s Ayodhya Visit Inspires Gurukul Students, Reinforces Commitment to Cultural Heritage

Ayodhya, April 2026 : Students of a traditional Gurukul in Ayodhya described their interaction with Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, as a moment of pride and encouragement during his visit on Thursday.

After offering prayers at the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Adani visited the Shri Nihshulk Gurukul, where he participated in a Yajna and spent time interacting with students and teachers. His visit left a strong impression on the young learners, who saw it as recognition of their efforts to preserve India’s ancient traditions and values.

One of the students expressed gratitude, saying that it was a matter of great fortune for the Gurukul to host such a prominent industrialist. The student noted that the institution represents India’s rich heritage and serves as a centre for the teachings of Sanatan Dharma. Adani’s assurance of support, the student added, was both motivating and reassuring for everyone associated with the Gurukul.

Another student echoed similar sentiments, calling the visit a joyful and memorable occasion. The student highlighted how the Yajna conducted during the visit symbolised guidance for society and reinforced the importance of discipline and values in daily life. The assurance of continued support from Adani further strengthened their confidence in the institution’s future.

Acharya Shashikant Das, associated with the Gurukul, said that Adani’s visit followed his prayers at the Ram temple. He emphasised that Adani appreciated the role of traditional education and Indian culture, and expressed willingness to contribute towards their preservation and promotion.

Gurukul Vyakaranacharya Shravan Kumar Mishra underlined the broader significance of the visit, stating that Adani’s presence at a Sanskrit Gurukul reflects a deep respect for the language and its cultural importance. He noted that Sanskrit continues to play a vital role in sustaining dharma and cultural identity. According to him, if such institutions continue to flourish, they will contribute significantly to the growth of knowledge, values, and national heritage.

Earlier in the day, Adani, accompanied by his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, visited the Ram Temple and offered prayers to Ram Lalla. The visit coincided with the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, which marks the birth of Lord Hanuman and holds special significance for devotees across the country.

Speaking to the media after the darshan, Adani described the visit as an emotional and proud moment for his family. He said the temple stands not only as a symbol of faith but also as a representation of India’s cultural unity and growing self-confidence.

He also highlighted the role of the Adani Foundation in preserving cultural traditions in an era increasingly shaped by technology and artificial intelligence. Stressing the importance of institutions like Gurukuls, Adani said they play a crucial role in keeping India’s cultural roots alive. He assured that all necessary support would be extended to help sustain and promote such traditions for future generations.

The visit, blending spirituality with cultural engagement, underscored the importance of connecting modern progress with traditional values, leaving a lasting impact on the students and the broader community.
