NSG is India’s Impenetrable Shield, Ensuring Security at All Times: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that although Indian culture teaches us to wish for the well-being of everyone, the world has also come to realise, under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, that if anyone provokes India, the country will not remain silent. Those who understand only a particular language must be responded to in the same language. Extremist forces pose a significant obstacle to the nation’s development, and they must be addressed firmly. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the National Security Guard (NSG) is India’s impenetrable security shield. The country’s internal security system remains extremely strong due to the presence of the NSG. In the past, during extremist incidents and unusual situations in the country, the prompt presence of NSG personnel has reassured citizens that if the NSG is there, the nation remains safe in every situation. The NSG acts as a strong guarantee of citizens’ security within the country’s borders. He said that NSG personnel remain ever ready to defend the nation, without regard for their own lives. The force is globally recognised for its professional capability, discipline and technical expertise. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated in the NSG show held at Lal Parade Ground on Monday and inaugurated the joint Integrated Capacity Building Training and Demonstration organised by the NSG for personnel of the Madhya Pradesh Police.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav watched the NSG show at Lal Parade Ground and appreciated the performance of the commandos. During the show, NSG personnel recreated a realistic mock terrorist attack scenario and demonstrated the complete process and operations adopted by the NSG to effectively counter such attacks. The Chief Minister said that the show reflected the highest display of courage, determination and valour. The aerial manoeuvres performed by the personnel during the demonstration were truly remarkable. NSG commandos are the backbone of our security system. Challenges to the nation can arise through land, water, or air, and training and rehearsal for dealing with such situations are extremely important. The Police Band welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on the occasion of the inauguration of the training programme and NSG show.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to deal effectively with any terrorist attack, the government will further strengthen security forces, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Counter Terrorist Group (CTG). A DPR of ₹200 crore has been prepared for the modernisation of the CTG, and the government will soon move forward in this direction. The Chief Minister announced that the state government will establish a state-of-the-art training centre in village Tumda, Huzur tehsil, Bhopal district, to provide comprehensive training for effectively countering terrorist attacks. Through this centre, security forces will be fully prepared to tackle any emergency disaster or extremist threat. He said that since Madhya Pradesh is located in the heart of the country, this centre will also play an important role in strengthening national security. Our personnel are capable of dealing with all kinds of crises with their expertise and modern weapons.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is always committed to the service and security of citizens. The state’s ATS stands like a strong wall against terrorism. The Counter Terrorist Group (CTG), created to support it, is an assault unit equipped with modern weapons and advanced techniques. The Chief Minister said that India takes immense pride in its armed forces. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is establishing a distinct identity in the world.

Chief Minister De. Yadav said that the NSG was established in 1984. There was a time when even the Prime Minister of the country was not secure in his own home. Former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated while being garlanded at a public event. The slogan of the NSG is ‘Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha’ (Best Security Everywhere), which reflects a spirit of victory. The courage and dedication of NSG personnel are unmatched. Whenever the country faces a crisis, NSG personnel, known as the Black Cat Commandos, ensure the safety of citizens. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the country’s armed forces now have the capability to strike enemies even in their own territory.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the armed forces have instilled confidence in the nation through their bravery. Here in Madhya Pradesh, training of ATS and CTG personnel has begun along with the Madhya Pradesh Police. In the present era of rapid development, terrorism and Naxalism remain extremely dangerous threats. Security forces require comprehensive training to combat such challenges. The country has eliminated a major problem that persisted for nearly 35 years—Naxalism. Madhya Pradesh is now completely free from Naxalism, and the armed forces have played a significant role in this achievement. Due to the strength of its security forces, India today stands among the world’s three most powerful nations.

Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana said that this joint training programme of the NSG and Madhya Pradesh Police will continue for nearly a month, from April 7 to May 4, 2026. During this period, personnel will receive training on about eight key subjects, including counter-attack operations. He said that police personnel will undergo training to deal with counter-terrorist attacks and enhance their skills, expertise, and techniques. We are preparing ourselves to meet new challenges. The state’s ATS and STF are functioning at full capacity, while security units are providing vigilant protection to VVIPs and VIPs.

Director General of NSG Shri B. Srinivasan said that police personnel join the NSG based on their merit and capability. The ATS and CTG of Madhya Pradesh are rendering commendable services. He informed that 1,164 personnel of the Madhya Pradesh Police and nearly 26,000 personnel across the country have been trained so far. The NSG is continuously introducing innovations and improvements in its training programmes to enhance the skills of personnel. During the training, police personnel will mainly be taught techniques to deal with terrorist incidents.

Director General of Police Shri Makwana and NSG Director General Shri Srinivasan welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting him with a sapling. A memento was also presented to the Chief Minister. ADG Armed Security Force Shri Chanchal Shekhar delivered the vote of thanks. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also took a group photograph with the Madhya Pradesh Police personnel undergoing training with the NSG and encouraged them.
