Commitment to Take Constitutional Values to Every Citizen: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Attends Samrasta Bhoj

Raipur, April 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed the commitment to take the values of the Constitution to every citizen while participating in a “Samrasta Bhoj” (community meal) आयोजित on the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar at Durga Maidan in Shankarnagar, Raipur.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister sat with public representatives and citizens to share a meal and also personally served food to attendees, conveying a strong message of social harmony and equality.

Addressing the gathering, he said that the Constitution is the soul of India’s democracy, and social harmony is its greatest strength. He highlighted that India is the world’s largest democracy and credited Dr. Ambedkar with the creation of the Constitution, which ensures equality, rights, and dignity for all 1.4 billion citizens of the country.

The Chief Minister noted that despite facing numerous challenges, Dr. Ambedkar rose to great heights through determination and willpower, dedicating his life to the upliftment of the deprived, oppressed, and weaker sections of society. He also emphasized Ambedkar’s significant contributions to women’s education and empowerment.

He further said that the movement for women’s education and social awareness initiated by Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule was taken forward and strengthened by Dr. Ambedkar.

Highlighting initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that the key sites associated with Dr. Ambedkar’s life—his birth, education, initiation, work, and final resting place—are being developed as the “Panch Teerth,” giving him lasting recognition.

On the occasion, Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb described Dr. Ambedkar’s life as an inspiring example of struggle, education, and harmony, adding that his ideas continue to guide society toward equality and justice. He said events like the Samrasta Bhoj play a vital role in strengthening social cohesion.
