Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday participated via video conferencing from Devi Ahilya Airport, Indore, in the mass marriage event organized under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana at Shahpura town in Bargi assembly constituency of Jabalpur district.

On this occasion, a total of 200 couples were married in Shahpura. Out of these, 198 couples were married according to Hindu rituals, while 2 couples solemnized their marriage through the Nikah ceremony. Bargi MLA and convener of the conference, Shri Neeraj Singh Thakur, along with local public representatives and a large number of family members of the newlywed couples, were present at the event.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his best wishes to all newly married couples. He stated that such mass marriage events strengthen equality, cooperation, and social harmony in society.

He emphasized that these conferences provide significant support to economically weaker, helpless, and needy families. “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring respect, livelihood, and empowerment of our daughters,” he said.

Expressing happiness, the Chief Minister added that it is a privilege for the government to host the wedding from the bride’s side and extend hospitality to the wedding guests, participating in this noble cause. He assured that the government will ensure a happy and secure life for all daughters.

Dr. Yadav also congratulated all public representatives, parents, and family members of the couples for the successful organization of the mass marriage event.
