Janapav to Gain National Recognition through Bhagwan Parshuram and Shri Krishna Lok : Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, giving a message that integrates Sanatan traditions, spiritual consciousness, and a development-oriented vision, said that the life of Bhagwan Parshuram is a unique example of dedication to faith, devotion, and the establishment of dharma. He stated that in every era, Parshuram stood against adharma and re-established righteousness, demonstrating a balance of power through mastery of both scriptures and weapons.
He announced that “Shri Parshuram–Shri Krishna Lok” will be developed at Janapav, the birthplace of Bhagwan Parshuram, at a cost of ₹17.41 crore. This project will serve as a major spiritual, cultural, and tourism center, spreading the philosophical teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram and Bhagwan Shri Krishna among the masses, and giving Janapav a distinct national identity.
The Chief Minister was addressing the ‘Parshuram Prakatotsav’ held at Janapav in Indore district on the auspicious occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti. He also performed at the Parshuram temple, praying for prosperity and happiness in the state, and inaugurated an exhibition based on Mahabharata-era weapons and the art of Chakravyuh.
Dr. Yadav noted that more than seven rivers originate from the Janapav region, including the Chambal, Gambhir, Ajanar, and Choral rivers. Under the Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign, he directed the preparation of an action plan to revive the Gambhir and Ajanar rivers. He emphasized that rivers are like the arteries of Mother Earth, and ensuring their conservation, revival, and continuous flow is a collective responsibility. Revived rivers will help irrigate thousands of hectares of agricultural land.
He praised the river-linking initiative led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, stating that the Ken-Betwa project will benefit the Bundelkhand region, while the Parvati-Kalisindh project will support Malwa and Rajasthan by improving drinking water supply, irrigation, industrial growth, and power generation.
The Chief Minister highlighted the role of Parshuram’s bow in the marriage of Lord Shri Ram as a symbol of tradition and strength. Referring to the life of Shri Krishna, he said that with the blessings of Parshuram, Krishna accomplished tasks that seemed impossible. He described Parshuram as a great गुरु (teacher) who imparted knowledge of divine weapons to warriors like Bhishma, Dronacharya, and Karna.
He further announced that a grand museum will be constructed at the proposed Lok in Janapav, showcasing its mythological significance. It will include galleries such as the Weapons Gallery, Origin Gallery, Form Gallery, Balance Gallery, and Meditation Gallery, presenting various dimensions of the lives of Bhagwan Parshuram and Bhagwan Shri Krishna. The परिसर (complex) will also feature bronze statues of both deities, a 30-foot-high grand entrance gate, a storytelling stage, gazebos, viewpoints, landscaping, pathways, and other infrastructure.
Dr. Yadav added that the state government is developing sites associated with the life of Shri Krishna as “Shri Krishna Pathay,” transforming them into major centers of faith and tourism.
He reiterated the state government’s commitment to expanding infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams, canals, hospitals, and schools. In the education sector, “Sandipani Vidyalaya” is being strengthened to promote Indian cultural values. The government also aims to celebrate festivals and traditions collectively to reinforce cultural unity.
Reaffirming his commitment to women’s rights, the Chief Minister said the government is fully dedicated to ensuring that women receive their due rights. He also emphasized the importance of honoring mothers in Sanatan culture and the significance of their names alongside those of deities.
The event featured cultural performances, devotional singing, and a theatrical presentation titled ‘Parshuram Natya Leela,’ vividly portraying the life and grandeur of Bhagwan Parshuram, creating an atmosphere of devotion and cultural celebration.
On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MLA and former minister Usha Thakur, public representatives, saints, social organizations, members of the Brahmin community, and a large number of devotees were present.
