Government committed to providing relief to cancer patients : Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, April 2026 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that a disease like cancer creates hardship not only for the patient but also for the entire family. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to strengthening healthcare services and providing relief to those affected by serious diseases like cancer. The state government believes that “service to humanity is service to God,” and considers it the highest path.

With the establishment of the 100-bed Vishwatma Institute of Radiotherapy and Treatment Center in Jabalpur, cancer patients will now have access to better treatment facilities. People in the region will no longer need to travel to cities like Nagpur for treatment.

The Chief Minister was virtually inaugurating the Vishwatma Institute of Radiotherapy and Treatment Center at Virat Hospital in Jabalpur. He addressed the program via video conference from the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal. On this occasion, the Brahmarishi Babra approach road, constructed at a cost of ₹88 lakh, was also inaugurated.

Dr. Yadav congratulated Sadhvi Gyaneshwari Didi, the director of Virat Hospital, for bringing this project to life with a spirit of service and philanthropy.

He said that when noble intentions are expressed and implemented, they inspire deep emotion and shine brightly like the midday sun in the region. He congratulated all those involved in making this initiative possible. He also appreciated that along with the hospital, a school and a cow shelter are being operated within the Virat Hospital campus.

Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh also addressed the gathering. It was informed that Dr. Akhilesh Gomasta established Virat Hospital on April 14, 2013, and today it has been upgraded with new facilities.

On this occasion, Shri Faiz Ahmed Khan from the National Cow Service Cell also expressed his views. The event was attended by Swami Raghavdevacharya, Mahant Vinodanand, Sant Balakdas Ji, Rajya Sabha Member Smt. Sumitra Balmik, Lok Sabha Member Shri Ashish Dubey, Shri Darshan Singh, MLA Shri Neeraj Singh, Jabalpur Mayor Shri Jagat Bahadur Singh “Annu,” and other public representatives.
