Deputy CM Diya Kumari Unveils Development Projects Worth Over ₹20 Crore in Rajsamand

Jaipur, May 2026 : Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple development projects worth over ₹20.76 crore in the Nathdwara Assembly constituency of Rajsamand district, marking a significant push towards strengthening rural infrastructure and public amenities.

During her visit, the Deputy CM attended events at PM Shri School in Gaonguda village under Khamnor Panchayat Samiti and at the Gaun Mandi premises in Railmagra. The projects span key sectors including education, roads, religious tourism, and sports infrastructure, aimed at boosting overall regional development.

Addressing the gathering, Diya Kumari reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure while expanding access to education, connectivity, and community facilities. She expressed confidence that these initiatives would accelerate development and improve the quality of life for residents.

Among the major projects inaugurated in Gaonguda was a new government senior secondary school building constructed at a cost of ₹3.5 crore under the DMFT scheme. Additionally, an 8.5-km road from T-10 Kesuli to NH-162E via Semal and Unwas, built at a cost of ₹6.78 crore, was also inaugurated, significantly improving connectivity in the region.

Another road project—a 1.5-km stretch in Gaonguda developed at a cost of ₹30 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Budget Announcement 2025–26—was opened to the public. The Deputy CM also laid the foundation stone for a culvert connecting Mahadev Temple to the cremation ground, a project valued at ₹20 lakh, which is expected to ease local transportation challenges.

At Railmagra, Diya Kumari inaugurated the strengthening and construction of an 11-km road stretch from T-08 Nathdwara to Railmagra under the PMGSY-III scheme, completed at a cost of ₹7.73 crore. Another 1-km road from Rajpura to Surjabari Mataji, costing ₹25 lakh, was also inaugurated.

To promote religious tourism, development work at the Chawanda Mataji Temple in Railmagra, worth ₹1 crore, was unveiled. In addition, a sports stadium built at a cost of ₹1 crore was inaugurated to encourage youth participation in sports and physical activities.

Overall, the projects include the construction and upgradation of 22.05 km of roads along with key improvements in educational, religious, and sports infrastructure. Officials noted that these initiatives would not only enhance connectivity but also stimulate economic activities and create better opportunities for local youth.

The Deputy CM emphasized that the government is working in a planned and inclusive manner to ensure the welfare of all sections of society, aiming for balanced and sustainable development across the state.
