Mumbai, May 2026 : To Lam visited the headquarters of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) in Mumbai on Thursday and rang the prestigious NSE bell during his visit. He also reviewed the functioning of the exchange and gained insights into India’s financial system.

President To Lam, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited the NSE headquarters located at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. The event began with a welcome address by NSE Chairman Srinivas Injeti.

Speaking on the occasion, Injeti said that this was President To Lam’s first official visit to India and noted that his decision to visit the NSE for interaction with India’s financial sector made the occasion particularly significant.

He highlighted that both India and Vietnam are rapidly progressing in the sectors of manufacturing, technology, and capital markets. Referring to growing economic cooperation between the two nations, he stated that after the groundbreaking ceremony for a manufacturing project in India in February 2024, production of the first vehicle had commenced within just 18 months.

Injeti also noted that bilateral trade between India and Vietnam has crossed 16 billion US dollars, with both countries aiming to increase it to 25 billion US dollars by 2030.

Following the event, President To Lam and members of the Vietnamese delegation toured the NSE’s trading and operations facilities and interacted with officials regarding the functioning of India’s financial and capital market systems.
