MP Government Fully Committed to Support Entrepreneurs at Every Step: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met delegates of the one-day Indo-French Investment Conclave held in Bhopal on Tuesday at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s Residence). French Ambassador to India, Shri Thierry Mathou, also called on Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The Ambassador said that Madhya Pradesh would receive maximum cooperation from France across various sectors. He added that efforts would be made to strengthen long-term strategic cooperation between France and Madhya Pradesh in view of the upcoming Global Summit to be held in the state next year. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is fully prepared to move forward shoulder to shoulder with entrepreneurs.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was briefed about the discussions held during the conclave and the initiatives taken regarding investments in various sectors during the round table meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Tuesday evening. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed French Ambassador Shri Mathou with an angavastram and a bouquet, and presented him with the Samrat Vikramaditya Vedic Clock. During the conclave, eight Letters of Intent, including a Memorandum of Understanding between French companies and the Madhya Pradesh Government in key sectors, were presented.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav, welcoming all delegates from France,  said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is progressing rapidly in the changing global environment. He recalled that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998, France had welcomed India’s policy decisions. He said that India and France share a long-standing friendship, and this spirit of mutual cooperation will continue in the years ahead.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that France had supported India during the Pokhran nuclear tests. He also referred to the Rafale deal between India and France, stating that the world’s advanced Rafale fighter jets are safeguarding India’s borders. He said that the free trade agreement between the Government of India and the European Union would further strengthen bilateral ties and open new avenues of global opportunities. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India and France will work together with strong policies in sectors such as defence, technology and skill development, he added.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that major global changes have been witnessed since the Second World War, and after 2014 a new India has emerged under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi.

Highlighting the strengths of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state has immense capacity, capability and potential for industrial investment. The state government is focused on increasing investment in trade and industry. He said that investment progresses through mutual trust and cooperation, and the government is working with complete transparency to achieve rapid industrial growth. He stated that Madhya Pradesh enjoys several advantages, including strong technological capabilities, excellent connectivity due to its central location, rich tourism potential, industrial peace and favourable natural conditions. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government first launched the Women Welfare Year, followed by the Industry and Employment Year, and is now observing the Farmer Welfare Year. He added that special emphasis is being laid on promoting agro-based industries in 2026. He also described the agreement between Sanofi and the National Health Mission as beneficial for the healthcare sector.

Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Neeraj Mandloi, said that Madhya Pradesh has implemented industry-friendly policies and is emerging as a leading state in tourism, defence, infrastructure, logistics and renewable energy. He welcomed the discussions held during the Indo-French Conclave regarding investment in various sectors in the state. Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, was also present during the round table meeting.

Earlier, delegates of the Indo-French Investment Conclave were accorded a warm welcome at the Chief Minister’s Residence. The delegates stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a major hub for India-France industrial partnership.

Representatives from Leading Companies Participate in the Conclave

The conclave, organised jointly by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, was attended by French Ambassador Shri Thierry Mathou, IFCCI Director General Sushri Payal S. Kanwar, and nearly 150 delegates, including CEOs of Indian and French companies, diplomats, policymakers, government officials and industry representatives.

Representatives from leading institutions and companies, including POMA Ropeways, AI Vancity and Medicaps University, Dassault Systèmes, Safran, SYSTRA and ENGIE, participated in the conclave.
