Yogi govt connecting students of Parishadiya Vidyalaya with modern science education

Experiment-based science education reaching children in villages, IIT Gandhinagar science kits transforming the picture of Parishadiya Vidyalaya

Science kits reached 9,356 schools in 38 districts, now children in Parishadiya Vidyalaya will also learn through experiments

Lucknow, May 2026 : The Yogi government is now working to transform government schools by connecting children studying in Parishadiya Vidyalaya with experiment and experience-based science education. By supplying 9,356 science kits in 38 districts of the state, the government has ensured that children from villages and poor families will now also receive the same modern and practical education that until now remained limited to major private schools and selected institutions.

Science kits have already been supplied to 38 districts of the state. In Gonda, 370 science kits have been supplied, 366 in Shahjahanpur, 357 in Agra, 338 in Unnao, 314 in Bulandshahr and 301 in Aligarh. Similarly, 464 science kits have been supplied in Lakhimpur Kheri and 469 science kits in Sitapur.

The Yogi government has already been working towards modernizing the education system in government schools through campaigns such as Mission Prerna, NIPUN Bharat Mission, School Kayakalp, Smart Class and Digital Monitoring.

Now, with the availability of science kits, efforts to make science education practical and student-centric have intensified. Education is no longer being limited only to buildings and enrolment, but is being linked with quality, technology and experimentation.

With continuous encouragement to experiment-based teaching, interest in science and innovation capability among children of Parishadiya Vidyalaya will increase rapidly in the future. This initiative of the Yogi government is being seen as a strong foundation for this transformation.

The government’s strategy is clear that children studying in government schools should not lag behind anyone in terms of resources and learning opportunities.

The biggest feature of this entire initiative is that the supply of science kits has been ensured through Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. This means that children from families standing at the last rung of society will now also be able to connect with laboratory-based science education.

This step of the Yogi government is being considered a major transformation in the direction of developing scientific thinking, curiosity and innovation capability among children studying in government schools.

The government believes that science education cannot be limited only to books and definitions. When children conduct experiments themselves, observe models and learn through activities, science becomes an interesting, practical and easily understandable subject for them.

With this thinking, science kits are being provided in Parishadiya Vidyalaya so that children can get the opportunity for experiment-based learning within the classroom itself.
