Panchnama Should Be Conducted Immediately for Orange Crop Loss Due to Rain – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar
Amravati : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed that a Panchnama should be conducted immediately to assess the compensation for the orange crops damaged by recent rains in the Warud area. During an inspection of the damage at Dnyaneshwar Moghe’s farm in Navasa Pardi, Warud Taluka, Mr. Pawar emphasized the urgency of this action. He was accompanied by MP Praful Patel, MLA Devendra Bhuyar, and District Superintendent Agriculture Officer Rahul Satpute.
The orange crop in the Warud area has suffered significant damage due to continuous rainfall. The incessant rain has severely affected the orange blossoms, leading to substantial losses for the farmers. Mr. Pawar issued instructions via phone to the Collector and Divisional Commissioner to conduct a Panchnama immediately and to consider the situation sympathetically to ensure farmers receive insurance assistance. Although the first phase of Panchnamas has been completed, Mr. Pawar emphasized that due to the extensive losses, a second phase of Panchnamas should also be conducted and promptly submitted at the ministerial level. He assured the farmers that they would receive the necessary support to obtain the compensation they deserve.
During the visit, Mr. Pawar inquired about the orange crop, including the cost of production and the varieties grown, particularly those known for their excellent taste. He also encouraged farmers to consider producing green fodder for animals.
