Mumbai, July 2026 : The premiere of the documentary “Pandharpur Wari and the Footsteps of the Saints”, jointly produced by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR), Maharashtra, and Warner Bros. Discovery, was held at an INOX cinema in Mumbai on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The premiere was attended by Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLAs Pravin Darekar and Niranjan Davkhare, DGIPR Principal Secretary and Director General Brjesh Singh, General Administration Department Deputy Secretary Samruddhi Angolkar, Director Dr. Kishor Gangurde, Govind Ahankari, Under Secretary Ajay Bhosale, Deputy Director Varsha Andhale, and several other senior officials.

Those present at the screening expressed that the documentary offers an immersive experience of the Pandharpur Wari, making viewers feel as though they were personally participating in the revered pilgrimage. Many remarked that the atmosphere inside the theatre recreated the spiritual essence and devotional spirit of the Wari.

About the Documentary

“Pandharpur Wari and the Footsteps of the Saints” is a 22-minute documentary produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery. The film showcases the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the annual Pandharpur pilgrimage and traces the legacy of Maharashtra’s revered saints.

To reach a wider audience across India, the documentary has been dubbed into Marathi, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The documentary is being broadcast across nine Warner Bros. Discovery channels, including:
