Raipur, May 2026: Talented young athlete from Chhattisgarh, Animesh Kujur, has created history by setting a new national record in the men’s 100-metre race with a timing of 10.15 seconds at the National Federation Senior Athletics Championship 2026 held in Ranchi. His outstanding performance has brought immense pride and joy across the state.

Following this remarkable achievement, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary extended his heartfelt congratulations to Animesh Kujur and wished him a bright future.

The Finance Minister said that Animesh has not only set a new national record through his hard work, discipline, and dedication, but has also brought honour to the entire state of Chhattisgarh. He noted that young athletes from the state are consistently delivering excellent performances at national and international levels, thereby creating a new identity for Chhattisgarh in the field of sports.
