No Shortage of Petrol, Diesel or LPG in Rajasthan: Chief Secretary V. Srinivas

Jaipur, June 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas has assured that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG in the state and that the supply and distribution system remains stable and uninterrupted.

The assurance came during a review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary with representatives of various petrol pump dealer associations across Rajasthan. The primary objective of the meeting was to obtain direct feedback from fuel dealers regarding the availability and distribution of petroleum products and cooking gas across the state.

The meeting was attended by Food and Civil Supplies Secretary Ambrish Kumar, Director General of Police Rajeev Sharma, Additional Director General (Cyber Crime and Technical Services) Vijay Kumar Singh, Additional Food Commissioner Poonam Sagar, and other senior officials.

Representatives of petrol pump dealers from different districts participated in the meeting and shared ground-level information regarding fuel and LPG availability in their respective areas. Most dealers reported that the supply of petrol, diesel, and LPG remains normal and smooth, and that consumers are not facing any difficulties in obtaining fuel or cooking gas.

Chief Secretary Srinivas emphasized the importance of maintaining uninterrupted services for consumers and sought detailed feedback on the prevailing situation across the state.

Senior executives from public sector oil marketing companies, including HPCL, BPCL, and IOCL, along with representatives of private oil companies, also attended the meeting. Discussions focused on the state’s fuel and LPG supply chain as well as the expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections for domestic consumers.

Expressing satisfaction over the current supply position, Srinivas stated that Rajasthan has adequate stocks of petrol, diesel, and LPG and that there is no cause for concern among the public regarding the availability of essential fuel supplies.

Representatives of oil companies informed the meeting that domestic LPG cylinders are being delivered within three days of booking. They also reported a significant rise in the sale of 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders, with sales increasing by nearly 250 percent compared to the March-April period.

Food and Civil Supplies Secretary Ambrish Kumar reiterated that sufficient stocks of petrol, diesel, and LPG are available throughout the state and that the supply network is functioning normally.

The review meeting was aimed at ensuring preparedness and maintaining consumer confidence by closely monitoring fuel availability and distribution systems. Officials stressed that the government remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted access to fuel and cooking gas for all citizens across Rajasthan.
