Two Years After Historic Mandate, Andhra NDA Government Focused on Welfare, Development and Good Governance: Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad, June 2026 : Marking two years since the landmark electoral victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said the coalition government remains committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people and accelerating the state’s development journey through welfare-oriented governance.
Recalling the decisive mandate delivered by voters in the 2024 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Naidu described June 4 as a historic day that changed the course of Andhra Pradesh and laid the foundation for the state’s reconstruction and progress.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said the overwhelming public support received by the NDA was not merely a political victory but a responsibility entrusted by the people to rebuild the state and steer it toward growth and prosperity.
“Today marks two years since the people delivered an extraordinary verdict to move Andhra Pradesh from a phase of decline towards development. That mandate was not a symbol of power for us, but a solemn responsibility. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to fulfil the hopes and expectations of the people,” Naidu stated.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government has adopted welfare, development and good governance as its guiding principles. He said special attention is being paid to the needs of farmers, women, youth, employees, labourers and other sections of society.
According to Naidu, the government’s broader vision is to build an equitable society, ensure balanced regional development and create opportunities that benefit all citizens. He reiterated that the coalition administration remains determined to transform Andhra Pradesh into a prosperous and inclusive state while preserving the confidence reposed in it by the electorate.
“Our goal is to create a healthy, wealthy and happy Andhra Pradesh. We are committed to governing in a manner that honours the trust placed in us by the people and makes every citizen proud,” he said, while expressing gratitude to voters and supporters across the state.
Echoing the Chief Minister’s sentiments, Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu praised Naidu’s leadership and credited him with driving the state’s rapid reconstruction and development efforts.
In a social media post, Atchannaidu said Andhra Pradesh had witnessed significant progress under Naidu’s guidance over the past two years. He described the Chief Minister’s vision and commitment as instrumental in moving the state from a period of uncertainty toward a path of sustained growth.
“Under the visionary leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, the rebuilding of Andhra Pradesh is progressing at a remarkable pace. His dedication and hard work have been invaluable in shaping the state’s future,” Atchannaidu said.
He added that the coalition government remained united in its commitment to delivering welfare and development for all sections of society and achieving the goal of a “Healthy, Wealthy and Happy Andhra Pradesh.”
The ruling Telugu Desam Party also highlighted the scale of the NDA’s electoral triumph through its official social media handle. The party described the victory as a historic endorsement of Naidu’s leadership and noted that winning 164 of the 175 Assembly constituencies reflected the immense trust voters had placed in the coalition.
The NDA alliance, comprising the TDP, Jana Sena Party and Bharatiya Janata Party, secured a landslide victory in the 2024 elections, winning 164 seats in the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The alliance also performed strongly in the parliamentary elections, capturing 21 of the state’s 25 Lok Sabha seats.
As the government completes two years since the historic mandate, coalition leaders maintain that their focus remains firmly on development, welfare delivery and fulfilling the promises made to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
