CM Vishnudev Sai Sanctions ₹21.69 Lakh Aid for Cancer Patient’s Treatment
Raipur, June 2026: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has approved financial assistance of ₹21,69,344 for the treatment of a cancer-affected woman under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme.
The beneficiary, 66-year-old Smt. Umatin Bai from Korba district, will undergo treatment at the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College (Mekahara), Raipur.
The assistance has been provided to support her treatment for lung cancer, as her family had approached the government citing financial hardship. The application for help was submitted at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Bagiya, requesting urgent financial support for her medical care.
Swift Action on Application
As soon as the application was received, the matter was taken up promptly. Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the financial aid was sanctioned under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme to ensure timely and proper treatment for the patient.
The decision has brought significant relief to the patient and her family. Expressing gratitude, the family members thanked the Chief Minister, stating that the financial support would now make advanced and timely treatment possible. They added that the assistance has given them renewed hope and strength during a difficult time.
