Jaipur, May 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted direct interaction with villagers through Gram Vikas Chaupal programmes in Bambori village of Pratapgarh, Jajod in Sikar, Kadail in Ajmer, Panseri in Jalore, Thikriya in Jaipur, Churdaada in Banswara, and Dhambola in Dungarpur. During these chaupals, he interacted with women, farmers, livestock rearers, and youth to understand the actual conditions of the villages. He also shared information about the welfare schemes of the Central and State governments. This unique initiative of direct public dialogue has further strengthened the villagers’ trust in the double-engine government’s work.

The Chief Minister visited seven districts and interacted with rural citizens late into the night on various issues such as farming, animal husbandry, and employment, while understanding their needs. After staying overnight in the villages, he went for early morning walks and interacted with the public, taking feedback on basic amenities like roads, education, healthcare, electricity, and water. He instructed officials to prioritise and complete village development works. His sensitive approach has given new momentum to rural development.

During the Gram Vikas Chaupal, progressive farmers shared their experiences of increasing income through organic and modern farming and by benefiting from government schemes. Women spoke about the economic changes in their lives through their association with Rajivika. Youth expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for curbing paper leaks, stating that recruitment examinations are now being conducted transparently, fulfilling their dreams of government jobs. Livestock rearers also thanked the Chief Minister for schemes like Mobile Veterinary Units, Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme, and Dairy Producer Support initiatives.

Announcement of Sports Stadium

In Jajod village of Sikar, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a sports stadium in Khandela based on the demand of players. He also ensured approval for the science stream in a girls’ school by issuing orders early in the morning. During his morning walk, he also promptly approved the deputation request of a soldier’s son working in Bhilwara.

Upgradation of PHC in Kadail

In Kadail village of Pushkar, he announced the upgradation of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) into a Community Health Centre (CHC). He also directed officials to strengthen transport services through additional bus operations and to construct a boundary wall for a girls’ school.

Instructions for Development Works in Panseri

At Panseri village in Jalore, the Chief Minister interacted with villagers at the central village chaupal. On public demand, he directed the District Collector to prepare plans for road upgrades, identify land for a sports stadium, prepare feasibility reports for an anicut, plan a vegetable market, and expedite land allocation for a veterinary hospital.

Action on Financial Irregularities

In Churdaada village of Banswara, he directed the establishment of a CLF training centre for Rajivika women and a packaging unit for their products. He also issued instructions for the construction of an anicut on the Heeran River for irrigation and improvement of drinking water sources. Following his directive, APO action was taken against the Block Chief Medical Officer in Kushalgarh over complaints of financial irregularities.

On his instructions, immediate financial approvals were also issued for multiple development works in Churdaada village, including ₹7 lakh for interlocking and beautification of Mama Baleshwar Dayal temple premises, ₹16.20 lakh for construction of a Maa Bari centre in Thummath village, and ₹20 lakh for a single-phase tubewell at Thummath crossroads. He also directed the construction of two classrooms in a government school and establishment of a milk collection centre nearby.

Sensitivity in Public Interaction

During a morning walk in Churdaada, Roshni Kalal requested the Chief Minister regarding her son suffering from cerebral palsy and her husband’s posting. On his instructions, orders were issued for the posting of Hemendra Kumar Kalal (Assistant Engineer) from PHED Sagwara to the Executive Engineer Project Division, Banswara.

In Dhambola village of Dungarpur, the Chief Minister directed development works at a village pond and also instructed expansion of sports facilities and construction of classrooms in government schools.

Earlier, he held district-level review meetings in Banswara and Dungarpur on agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, electricity, water, and other infrastructure services.

The initiative reflects the Chief Minister’s commitment to connecting villages, the poor, farmers, women, and youth to the mainstream of development. Through Gram Vikas Chaupal, he is not only addressing grievances on the spot but also ensuring ground-level implementation of schemes, making it a strong model for participatory and self-reliant rural development in Rajasthan.
