Sacrifice of Veerangana Rani Lakshmibai will Continue to Inspire Every Indian for Honour of Motherland and Freedom: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the unparalleled courage, immortal valour and unwavering patriotism of Veerangana Rani Lakshmibai will always remain a source of inspiration for the entire nation. Her sacrifice for honour of motherland and freedom will continue to inspire every Indian for generations to come. Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi laid down her life at a young age in defence of her motherland and self-respect.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid floral tributes to the statue and portrait of Veerangana Rani Lakshmibai at the historic Kila Maidan in Indore on the occasion of her Martyrdom Day.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is fully committed to preserving the glorious history of great personalities and freedom fighters and to taking their ideals to every section of society. He said that the historic Kila Maidan area of Indore also stands as a witness to our rich heritage and memories of great heroes.
On this occasion, Minister for Urban Development, Administration and Housing Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Member of Parliament Shri Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Sudarshan Gupta, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar, Collector Shri Shivam Verma, along with other public representatives and distinguished citizens, were also present.
