Expedite Pending Road Works in Raigad; Complete Measurement and Demarcation of Roads under Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana: Minister Aditi Tatkare

Mumbai, June 2026: Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has directed officials to accelerate all necessary procedures for the early completion of pending road and farm access road (Panand Road) projects under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana in Raigad district.

She instructed the concerned departments to submit a detailed report indicating the current status of roads marked on village maps. Additionally, she emphasized that measurement, demarcation, and all required survey work for pending roads not recorded on village maps should be completed urgently to speed up road development projects.

The directions were issued during a review meeting held at Mantralaya, where a detailed assessment of road development works, farm access roads, and pending projects under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana in Raigad district was undertaken. Progress related to works on the National Highway Koshimbale route was also reviewed during the meeting. Officials from the concerned departments were present.

Minister Tatkare stated that road development projects in villages with a population of more than 1,000 should be given priority. She noted that timely completion of road projects is essential to provide better connectivity to rural residents and strengthen villages’ integration with the mainstream of development.

She further directed that the necessary panel for proposed road projects under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana in Shrivardhan taluka be constituted and that the approval process be expedited. Administrative formalities required for project approvals should be completed promptly so that work can commence without delay.

Tatkare also instructed officials to urgently complete the demarcation of 19 pending roads in Raigad district and ensure that the related development works move forward at a faster pace.

Highlighting the importance of rural road infrastructure, she said that road development directly impacts the daily lives of citizens and the local economy. Therefore, all departments should work in close coordination to ensure that projects are not delayed due to administrative hurdles.

The Minister noted that the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana has been instrumental in providing quality road connectivity to remote and rural villages, making access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and markets easier for residents.

She emphasized that all concerned agencies must give special attention to completing the pending projects within the stipulated timeframe so that the benefits of improved infrastructure reach rural communities at the earliest.
