CM Reddy inaugurated Global AI Summit

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the vital role that technology and innovation play in transforming society. He emphasized that no progress can be made without advancements in technology, citing historical inventions such as the train, engine, aeroplane, and electricity, which brought about revolutionary changes in the world. The invention of computers, television, and mobile phones, he said, has further advanced the lives of the current generation, providing them with unprecedented access to information and connectivity.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), calling it the most significant technological innovation of our time. While acknowledging the concerns and fears that accompany new technologies, such as the potential loss of jobs, he urged people to remain optimistic. He emphasized that with careful analysis, AI can be used to create opportunities rather than threats, and that embracing technological advancements is crucial for future growth.

Reflecting on India’s history, CM Reddy noted that the country did not fully capitalize on the industrial revolution, except for Hyderabad, which has become a leader in industrial and technological development. He urged cities across the nation to prepare for the future by embracing emerging technologies like AI, warning that neglecting these innovations could hold back India’s progress. He encouraged a collective effort to ensure the country’s readiness for future technological advancements.

The Telangana government, under his leadership, has taken several steps to promote AI and lay a strong foundation for its use. The Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM), launched in partnership with NASSCOM, is a key initiative aimed at developing an AI framework and collaborating with industry experts to drive innovation in the state. CM Reddy assured the public that the government’s commitment to AI is unwavering, and its efforts are directed towards establishing Telangana as a leader in AI technology.

Concluding his address, CM Reddy expressed confidence that Hyderabad is poised to become a global hub for AI, as evidenced by the Global AI Summit. He extended a warm invitation to all innovators and stakeholders to join in the city’s journey to becoming the “City of the Future,” leading the world in AI innovation and technological advancements.
