CM Dr. Yadav Announces Action Plan for Comprehensive Development of Indore Metropolitan Area.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Indore is a rapidly growing city. There are immense possibilities of development in this city. Madhya Pradesh and Indore city are located in the central part of the country. Keeping this in view, there is a need to develop here in a planned manner. If there is a planned development of Indore city and Madhya Pradesh, then other states will also get its benefit. CM Dr. Yadav reviewed the development works in Indore today. In this, many important decisions were taken regarding the all-round development of Indore.
In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, it was decided that an action plan will be prepared for the all-round development of the proposed Indore Metropolitan Area and Indore Regional Development Area. A special action plan will be prepared for the development of 29 villages included in the Indore Municipal Corporation limits. CM Dr. Yadav gave instructions to prepare this action plan in one month. It was also decided that in place of the proposed elevated bridge from LIG to Navlakha in Indore city, 6 more bridges will be built at the junctions as per the requirement. It was also decided that the land ownership related issues of 29 villages included in the municipal corporation limits and other old settlements of the city should be resolved and arrangements should be made to pass their maps. Also, it should be ensured that all the basic facilities are available in these villages like legal colonies. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also fixed the time limit for completion of various construction works approved and in progress in Indore district.
It was told in the meeting that only three percent utility has been found for the elevated bridge from LIG to Navlakha. In view of this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that when there is such low utility, there is no need for an elevated bridge. Instead, alternative arrangements should be made. Bridges should be built at different junctions instead of elevated bridges. It was told that 6 over bridges need to be built on this route. CM Dr. Yadav directed to prepare an action plan for this. He also reviewed the Amrit Yojana and directed that in view of the requirement of 2047 in the city, an action plan should be prepared regarding water supply and sewerage line and work should be started soon. A plan should also be prepared regarding the amount.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Indore and surrounding areas are developing rapidly. There is a need for planned development in these areas. The Metropolitan Area and Indore Regional Development Area should be developed. A plan for holistic and well-planned development of every village and every area of Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas included in this region should be prepared, headded. All development agencies should prepare a development plan in a co-ordinated manner. He said that there are immense possibilities of industrial development in Indore. Keeping this in view, an action plan should be prepared. Along with this, 4-lane roads should also be expanded rapidly. He said that with the approval of Indore-Manmad railway line, Malwa-Nimar as well as Gwalior region will also develop. This railway line will become a bridge of development to Mumbai, Indore and Delhi. He said that there are immense possibilities of development of air cargo in Indore. The Chief Minister also directed to prepare a proposal regarding the expansion of railway line in Indore and surrounding areas.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the ongoing Indore-Ujjain 4 lane to 6 lane road, MR-11, MR-12, Tejaji Nagar to Balwada, Indore to Harda and other roads of the master plan. He directed that the said works should be completed within the stipulated time frame. Besides, discussions were also held regarding Indore Bypass to Village Panod, Kampel Road, 2 lane road from Chandragupta Maurya statue to Dewas-Ujjain Road, construction of Western Bypass in Indore city, Eastern Bypass Road in Indore city. Instructions were given that the work of the said roads should be started soon after completing all the formalities.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed in detail about various road construction works going on in Indore district, construction of flyovers and bridges, inter-state bus terminal, government school re-densification scheme, Indore Bypass Control Area, Water Supply Scheme Amrit, proposed work for purification of Kanh-Kshipra river, 60 Mega Watt solar power plant of Jalud, ongoing project of MP Industrial Development Corporation, proposed work plan of Indore Metropolitan Development Authority in Indore Metropolitan area and other important topics related to the development of Indore city.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the ongoing work for the purification of Kanh and Kshipra should be made result-oriented and effective. The results of this work should also be visible at the ground level. He talked about presenting better planning of the city, so that it can be incorporated in the development plans.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat expressed the need to build a 4-lane road from Indore to Khudail and various development works, construction of roads in Sanwer area. He also talked about developing MY Hospital as an ideal hospital.
MP Shri Shankar Lalwani expressed his views regarding the outer ring road, preparation of logistics hub and new grain market etc. Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava spoke about the necessary budget for the Western Ring Road, necessary co-operation under Amrit Yojana-2.0 and karmik structure development. MLA Sushri Usha Thakur, MLA Shri Mahendra Hardia, MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola, MLA Shri Manoj Patel, MLA Smt. Malini Gaur, MLA Shri Golu Shukla, MLA Shri Madhu Verma expressed their views for the development of the area.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Sanjay Shukla and Shri Raghvendra Singh, Divisional Commissioner Shri Deepak Singh, Police Commissioner Shri Rakesh Gupta, Chief Forest Conservator Shri MR Baghel, Collector Shri Ashish Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Shivam Verma and other officials were present in the meeting.
