Innovative initiative of Agriculture Department under the guidance of District Administration
Under the guidance of the district administration, the Agriculture Department, Nirman NGO and other coordinated departments are organizing “Organic Farmer Field School” training programs in 220 villages of the four development blocks of the district. Through this “Pathshala”, farmers do not need to go far for training, rather this Pathshala training is being organized in the fields of those farmers in their own village who are doing advanced organic farming very well with Sri Vidhi or other techniques. All agricultural scientists, organic agriculture experts, rural agriculture extension officers, progressive farmers, organic workers, Krishi Sakhi, Pashu Sakhi, Krishak Mitra are also participating in the said training program.
Departmental officials informed that the “Krishi Khet Pathshaala” is being organized in three phases. In the first phase, farmers are informed about the special precautions to be taken during sowing, planting and weeding. Then they are made aware of practical information about the preparation and use of organic manure and organic medicine. In the second phase, the use of appropriate organic manure or organic medicine during the growth stage of the plant and in the third and final phase, precautions to be taken during harvesting are also explained in detail.
The main objective of this training school is to ensure that farmers get the maximum value for their produce. All types of advanced farming techniques are also discussed in detail in this training program and the most important thing is that under this school, other farmers are given explanations in their local language so that everyone can understand it easily and in the end, all the farmers are made to take an oath that they will also use this method in their fields in the coming years to increase the production of their farms.
“Krishi Khet Pathshaala” is definitely an innovative effort of the district administration of Dantewada, which will become a medium to connect more and more farmers with organic farming, so that farmers can get maximum value for their crops.
