Deputy Commissioner Paul L. Khuma Inaugurates Serchhip International Trade Expo

Serchhip : Today, Deputy Commissioner Paul L. Khuma officially inaugurated the International Trade Expo at the Serchhip Auditorium Ground Floor.

During the inauguration, the DC expressed his appreciation to Zorun Events for organizing the event, which aims to meet the diverse needs of the people by bringing a variety of products from across India to Serchhip. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the organizers, praising their effort to showcase the best of the market to the people of Serchhip. He further mentioned that the Expo has allowed the public to experience a well-organized and enjoyable event, creating a platform for future growth.

The DC highlighted that the Expo will provide opportunities for people to purchase their desired products at affordable prices, while also contributing to the local economy. He emphasized that the Expo not only caters to the local demand but also serves as a stepping stone for future trade development for those seeking to expand their business, including entrepreneurs interested in foreign goods. He noted the growing need for exposure to international markets and the benefits of learning from global trade practices.

The event, organized by Zorun Events, will run for one month. The Expo features a variety of goods including books, clothing, home decor, kitchenware, and various food items. With 40 stalls set up, vendors are offering products at reasonable prices. In addition to Indian-made products, there are food stalls for visitors to enjoy. Vendors from different parts of India, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Delhi, have set up stalls, as well as local vendors from Thenzawl and Lunglei. The Expo will be open daily, including evenings until 9 PM, providing ample time for people to visit and shop at their convenience.
