Productronica India 2024 is set to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s rising global market stature
Greater Noida / Lucknow : The Yogi government, committed to transforming Uttar Pradesh into a leading state, is set to host Semicon India 2024, Electronica India 2024, and Productronica India 2024, further cementing the state’s growing global market presence.
These international trade fairs, dedicated to electronics development and production, will be held from September 11 to 13 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, covering 35,000 square meters with 589 exhibitors from around the world. The event will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s expanding role in the technology sector, with a focus on fostering an investment-friendly environment, good governance, and sector-driven policies.
Notably, Uttar Pradesh is already a leader in mobile manufacturing and plays a pivotal role in electronics production. Through Productronica India 2024, the state aims to strengthen its global market presence while unlocking new opportunities for investment and job creation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath envisions transforming Uttar Pradesh into a one trillion-dollar economy in the coming years. To achieve this, substantial efforts are being made to expand the semiconductor sector, attract leading chip manufacturing companies, and establish multiple clusters for electronics manufacturing across the state.
The Yogi government is prioritizing these initiatives, with Noida and Greater Noida leading the way. These regions have made Uttar Pradesh a significant contributor to the nation’s electronics industry, accounting for 55% of mobile manufacturing and nearly 50% of mobile component production in India.
In 2020, Uttar Pradesh introduced its Electronics Manufacturing Policy, which aimed to foster the growth of the electronics sector by establishing clusters and offering incentives, including subsidies for the development of EMC (Electronic Manufacturing Clusters) infrastructure.
Productronica India 2024 presents a strategic opportunity to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s growing stature in the electronics industry to top global companies and investors, positioning the state as a premier investment destination.
During the event, which will take place from September 11 to 13, various conferences will be held on topics such as PCB and EMS, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Cables-Coils and Hybrid Systems, Semiconductors, and Future Production Technologies. Companies worldwide will also exhibit their products, with experts and participants from key electronics manufacturing sectors in attendance. Notably, 58% of attendees will be international visitors, and 54% of exhibitors will represent foreign companies.
In line with CM Yogi’s vision, the Department of IT and Electronics and UP Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) actively participated in the event, promoting policies that support the electronics, semiconductor, and chip manufacturing sectors.
Additionally, meetings with investors are planned, paving the way for further investments and employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
