Significant Financial Support for Families Through “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana”

Dharashiv (Paranda) : The state government is placing a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment by implementing various schemes aimed at making women stronger and more independent. Beneficiary women have expressed their gratitude, stating that the financial assistance provided through the “Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” has greatly supported families in difficult financial circumstances.

The “Chief Minister Women’s Empowerment Campaign” was held at Kotla Maidan in Paranda town, Dharashiv district, in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Guardian Minister and Health Minister Tanaji Sawant. A large number of women beneficiaries attended the event, and many shared heartfelt responses about how the scheme has impacted their lives. All were united in expressing the view that “only the poor understand the true value of ₹1,500.”

Gratitude for the Support

Kavita Yuvraj Andhale, a 39-year-old woman from Ter, Dharashiv, emotionally shared her story: “After my husband passed away, the family’s support was gone. I manage the household through sewing, but the financial strain was overwhelming. In August, ₹3,000 from the Chief Minister’s Beloved Sister Yojana was credited to my bank account. Words cannot describe the joy I felt upon receiving that money.” Kavita emphasized how even a small amount makes a significant difference to women in her situation. She added, “My family has received crucial support from the ₹1,500 we receive each month through this scheme. I am deeply thankful to the Chief Minister for launching this initiative.”

Helping Society Thrive

Another beneficiary, Alka Chandrakant Naikwadi, a farmer, highlighted how the scheme is financially supporting society, and she urged the government to continue it.

Medical Relief and Well-being

Roshan B. Isak Shaikh, a 63-year-old from Shiradhon, shared how the financial assistance has helped with her health issues: “Previously, I had to rely on family members for hospital expenses, but now, thanks to the Chief Minister’s scheme, the financial burden on my family has eased. The money not only helps cover my medicine costs, but I’m also able to buy nutritious fruits, which is improving my health.”

Supporting Agricultural Families

Gangabai Sambhaji Deshmukh, a 50-year-old amputee from Kandari village, explained that her family depends on marginal agricultural income. She shared how the scheme has helped cover her children’s education and hospital expenses, expressing gratitude to the government for initiating the program.

A Lifeline for Household Needs

Yasmin Mohsin Khatib, 30, from Shiradhon, said her family relies on agriculture, but their income isn’t enough to cover household expenses. She was relieved when ₹3,000 from the scheme was credited in August, helping her meet necessary expenses. She thanked Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for starting the initiative and requested its continuation.

Continued Request for Support

Other beneficiaries, such as Anita Khaire from Pachpimpal village, Vaishali Datta Mule from Shiradhon in Kalamb taluka, and Vaishali Gawli Ingoda from Paranda, also expressed their gratitude and requested the continuation of the “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.”

Contributing to Education

Ashwini Kamalakar Kulkarni from Waghegvan in Paranda taluka mentioned how her family depends on agriculture. She was thrilled to use the scheme’s financial assistance to pay her daughter’s college fees, emphasizing the need for continued support to further her daughter’s education.

Recognition by the Chief Minister

At the event, the women beneficiaries expressed their happiness at being recognized for their empowerment efforts under the Chief Minister’s Empowerment Mission. They described receiving certificates of merit from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as an unforgettable moment and urged for the continuation of these schemes to further empower women.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including District Guardian Minister Tanaji Sawant, Collector Dr. Sachin Omambase, and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Mainak Ghosh. Numerous beneficiaries of the “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana,” Youth Work Training Scheme, and other government programs were also present.

Among the women beneficiaries of various schemes in the district are Usha Pawar, Jayashree Jadhav, Agyan Kamble, Varsha Shendge, and Lakshmi Tilekar, all of whom are beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Additionally, Rajshree Patil, who received a tractor under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, and Chhaya Andhare, who received a benefit of Rs. 50,000, were also present. The women expressed their gratitude to the government on this occasion.
