“Efforts Should Be Made to Provide More Facilities for Athletes at the Sports Complex” – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar
Baramati : Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar inspected various ongoing public development projects in the Baramati area. He emphasized the need for rapid completion of these works using the latest technology to ensure better facilities for athletes at the sports complex.
Mr. Pawar inspected several locations, including the Kanheri Forest Department, the Agriculture Produce Market Committee Building at Jalochi Sub-bazar, the Fruit and Vegetable Handling Centre, the Government Ayurvedic College at Medad, the new building of the Sports Complex, the Silk Fund Buying and Selling Market Post-Processing Guidance and Training Centre, the canal beautification at Garudabagh, and the Children’s Park. He gathered information from the concerned officials about the progress of these projects.

Present during the inspection were Conservator of Forests Mahadev Mohite, Additional Superintendent of Police Ganesh Biradar, Deputy Divisional Officer Vaibhav Navadkar, Chief Engineer of Mahavitaran Ankush Nale, among others.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawar provided specific instructions for the sports complex, such as installing matte-finish tiles, choosing room decor and furniture in coordination with the wall colors, and ensuring proper electrical installations. He also emphasized the importance of sufficient sunlight and air circulation in the complex.
At the Fruit and Vegetable Handling Centre at Jalochi Sub-bazar, Mr. Pawar suggested planting tall, shade-giving tree species within the premises. He also directed the Agriculture Produce Market Committee to build protective walls of adequate height around the new building, taking into account the surrounding roadways. Additionally, a meeting space for local residents should be arranged.
In the Kanheri Forest Division, he stressed the need for nurturing previously planted trees and suggested constructing convenient stairways and meeting spaces for children and senior citizens. He also recommended maintaining the cleanliness of the lake and its surroundings, ensuring that overhanging tree branches do not obstruct the roads.
Mr. Pawar urged the swift completion of the Government Ayurvedic College, canal beautification at Garudabagh, and the Children’s Park. He also instructed that the new building for the Silk Kosh Buying and Selling Market Post-Processing Guidance and Training Centre be constructed at a higher elevation than the main road.
In closing, Mr. Pawar emphasized that all development works in the area must meet high standards of quality, durability, and timely completion.
