Chhattisgarh government achieved a big achievement on the security and development front

The foundation of a better future for tribal youth is also strengthened by the concrete steps taken by the government

Raipur : Chhattisgarh government is taking concrete steps in the interest of tribals. In remote and backward forest areas, apart from basic facilities like education, health, employment, the work of fulfilling basic needs is being done rapidly. Chhattisgarh government has started many such schemes, whose lives are changing with wide impact at the ground level. On the initiative of the Chief Minister, the Niyada Nellnar scheme has brought a new ray of hope in the lives of tribal families today. In this scheme, by selecting the villages around the new camps established in the Maoist-affected areas, basic resources like housing, hospital, water, electricity, bridges, schools etc. are being developed under 32 welfare schemes of 12 departments of the government.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the Government of India has given the green signal to increase direct connectivity from remote tribal areas to Ayodhya Dham. Continuous work is also being done on the development of roads, which has made movement to tribal areas easier. The Chhattisgarh government has also decided to provide free ration to 68 lakh poor families for 05 years, which is benefiting a large number of needy residents of tribal areas.

Tendu leaves are a strong source of livelihood for forest dwellers, to increase the income from this, the government has increased the remuneration rate for tendu leaf collection from Rs. 4000 per standard bag to Rs. 5500 per standard bag, which is benefiting more than 12 lakh 50 thousand collectors from the current tendu leaf season itself. Chhattisgarh government is also going to start Charan Paduka Yojana soon for tendu leaf collectors, along with this they will also be given the benefit of bonus.

Working on the dual front of security and development, the Chhattisgarh government has achieved a major success. As a result of these efforts, today Chhattisgarh’s Bastar has become the most military sensitive area in the country in terms of ratio, there is one paramilitary soldier for every 9 civilians in Bastar division. Soon more than 250 camps of security forces and 58 new camps will be established in these areas in Niyyad Nellnar so that the scope of basic facilities like roads, schools, health can be increased. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, many historical fairs being held since ancient times in Bastar are also being given government patronage and financial assistance to promote tribal culture and traditions.
 
With the strong efforts of the government to ensure quality education in remote tribal areas, the foundation of a new future is being laid in Bijapur, the second least literate district of the country. 28 schools closed by Maoists in Bijapur district have now been opened with the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai. With the aim of preserving local dialects, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide primary education in local dialects in tribal areas. This will prove to be an important step in increasing access to education in tribal communities under the new education policy, in which school children’s books are being prepared in 18 local languages ​​and dialects. In the first phase, textbooks will be prepared in Chhattisgarhi, Sargujiha, Halbi, Sadari, Gondi and Kudukh.

Chhattisgarh government is also strengthening the foundation of bright future of tribal youth, in this sequence the number of seats in Tribal Youth Hostel of New Delhi has been increased from 50 to 185. With this decision, more than three times more seats will be available in this hostel for the candidates of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class who wish to prepare for UPSC Civil Services while staying in the country’s capital. Similarly, on the lines of IIT, technology institutes will also be built in Jashpur, Bastar, Kabirdham, Raipur and Raigarh of the state.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, students of Maoist terror affected districts of Chhattisgarh will get interest free loan for technical and vocational education. Students of the remaining districts will be provided loan at one percent interest rate, so that they can strengthen their financial condition by moving towards self-employment.
