State government to pay the increased premium of Patrakar Bima Yojana: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has decided that the state government will bear the burden of the premium increased by the insurance company under the ‘Health and Accident Group Insurance for Communication Representatives’ scheme. Besides, the last date to apply online for insurance has also been extended from 20th September to 25th September.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that journalists who are the fourth pillar of democracy, work day and night to serve the country and society under difficult circumstances. It has been brought to my notice by various journalist organizations that the premium in the Journalist Insurance Scheme has been increased by the insurance company. Therefore, we have decided that the State Government will bear the burden of the increase in the premium rates made by the insurance company in the Patrakar Bima Yojana. Journalists participating in the scheme will be charged the same premium as in previous years. He said that the state government stands with the journalists at every step.
