Educational institutions should be filled with manpower relevant to the times – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Inauguration of ‘AI Center for Competency’ of Ramdevbaba Vidyapeeth

Nagpur, Aug 2026 : Keeping in mind the need of the upcoming jobs in the field, educational institutions should provide employable, modern skilled, time-relevant manpower. Today’s job sector not only requires graduates but also requires quality manpower who can contribute meaningfully, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said here today.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis would have been speaking at the inauguration of the ‘AI Center for Competency’ at Ramdevbaba Vidyapeeth. On this occasion, Shri Ramdevbaba Public Committee President Padmashree Satyanarayan Nuwal, Vice President S. Rathi, P. Paldiwal, General Secretary Rajendra Purohit, Secretary Addl. Pradeep Agarwal, Kailash Chandra Agarwal, Treasurer Ashok Kumar Pacheriwala, Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. S.S. Mantha, Vice Chancellor Dr. R.S. Pandey etc. dignitaries would have been present.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that as a leading educational institution in the country, Ramdevbaba Vidyapeeth has created its own unique place. The organization has tried to stay away from commercialization by keeping itself connected to the basic objective of education. Despite being a private institution, it is included among the leading educational institutions in the country. Today this institution has been transformed into a university. Chief Minister Fadnavis said that he is confident that the most renowned universities or schools in the country which are giving a new shape to the field of education as well as education will be included in it.

Artificial intelligence, semiconductor and quantum computing technologies are or will be the major factors shaping the future of the century. The idea of an industrial revolution would have started with the first industrial revolution around 1740, the second around 1860 and the third around 1950. Due to the rapid changes in technology, today we are discussing the fifth industrial revolution in 2026. This revolution is based on artificial intelligence, deep technology and frontier technology. Aata Jagane Sahavya also started the discussion about industrial revolution, where Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis targeted.

Keeping in mind the rapid pace with which technology and the nature of business are changing, it is necessary for our educational institutions to adopt the latest technology. You have been discussing about CPU for a long time, now we are discussing about GPU. Quantum computing has provided unprecedented speed to the correction process. Be it biotechnology, robotics or any other field, progress in technology is bringing changes in every aspect of life. Due to artificial intelligence, the nature of about 70 percent jobs in the job sector will change radically in the coming 1000 days. There will be no reduction in jobs, only their form will definitely change. This change is permanent due to artificial intelligence. Therefore, as the world is changing, our educational institutions and teaching methods will have to be changed to keep pace with the pace, said Chief Minister Fadnavis.

Due to modern technology, vast changes are taking place in the health care sector itself. The management of diseases has changed radically. The agricultural sector of our economy is one of the sectors that can benefit most from artificial intelligence. The state government has launched ‘MahaVistaar’, an artificial intelligence based app completely dedicated to the agriculture sector. Any farmer can get information in his own language regarding pests, ridge management, peak management or any other problem by asking questions in his own language. After uploading a photo to Pikacha, the artificial intelligence model can give detailed information about Pikacha’s current status, possible future problems and necessary arrangements. Or due to technology, the production cost of agriculture can be reduced by about 25 percent, while the productivity can increase by 25 to 30 percent. This is the true power of artificial intelligence. Today no area remains untouched. Be it engineering, biotechnology or any other branch, one will not be able to pursue education independently. The need of the hour is to accept a multidisciplinary approach. For the first time in the history of the world, great innovations have come not from the industrial sector, but from universities and educational institutions. Today, as a giant in the field of technology, I see that his pursuit has started from some university or research institute. Therefore, the role of the university as the focal point of knowledge creation, revision and innovation becomes more important. It is the Chief Minister who said that Ramdevbaba Vidyapeeth will strengthen the traditions and will give a new direction to the country through amendments and innovations.

At the beginning of the program, the ‘AI Center for Competency’ of the university was inaugurated digitally by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking on the occasion, Padmashree Satyanarayan Nuwal, President of Shri Ramdevbaba Public Committee, expressed confidence that his vision will be important in the field of center amendment. The Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. R.S. Pandey reviewed the various initiatives of his proposed university.
