The ‘Drug-Free Youth Developed India Sankalp Abhiyan’ was launched in the presence of Minister Laxmi Rajwade.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually launched the national campaign; the public awareness campaign will run for the next 100 weeks.

Raipur, August 2026 : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today virtually launched the nationwide ‘Drug-Free Youth Developed India Sankalp Abhiyan’ from New Delhi. The campaign was also formally launched in various districts of Chhattisgarh. Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade attended the state-level event held in Surajpur district as the chief guest.

The event, held in the Surajpur Collectorate hall, was attended by public representatives, officials, students, representatives of educational institutions, and a large number of youth. A live broadcast of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address was broadcast, and all attendees took a pledge to build a drug-free India.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi stated in his address that drug addiction is destructive to individuals, families, and society. Youth play a central role in building a developed India, and therefore, they should utilize their energy, talent, and potential for nation-building. He urged the youth to adopt a drug-free lifestyle and inspire others to do the same.

On this occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade said that the bright future of youth lies in discipline, education, and a healthy lifestyle. He appealed to students and youth to study diligently, engage in sports and positive activities, and stay away from all forms of addiction.

During the program, information was also provided about the Lifeline Express train. It was stated that this special health service train will be available in Vishrampur from August 16 to September 5, 2026, where free treatment for various ailments and essential health services will be provided.

It is noteworthy that the ‘Drug Free Youth Development India Sankalp Abhiyan’ will begin on August 2, 2026, and will be conducted nationwide for 100 weeks. Under the campaign, rallies, oath-taking, poster and painting competitions, debates, street plays, music, short films, and various public awareness programs will be organized through schools, colleges, NSS, NCC, My Bharat, and other youth organizations.
