Rose Garden, Modern Nursery and Sports Complex to be Developed at Jawahar Circle

Jaipur, August 2026: As part of the Rajasthan government’s “Hariyalo Rajasthan” campaign under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), under the direction of Urban Development and Housing Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, will develop a rose garden and modern nursery at Jawahar Circle. Tenders for the project have already been issued.

Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan said an attractive rose garden will be developed over approximately 4,000 square metres, where a total of 4,000 roses will be planted. These will include 3,000 grafted multicolour roses and 1,000 native Ganganagar roses.

The rose garden is expected to become a special attraction for residents and tourists while further enhancing the natural beauty of Jawahar Circle.

Modern nursery to promote greenery

Alongside the rose garden, a modern nursery will also be developed over an area of around 4,000 square metres.

The nursery will feature approximately 3,000 plants belonging to 32 different species, including 2,000 ornamental plants and 1,000 fruit-bearing plants.

According to Mahajan, the nursery will focus on the conservation and promotion of quality plants and strengthen efforts to increase green spaces across the city.

State-of-the-art sports complex also planned

The Jaipur Development Authority will also develop a state-of-the-art sports complex at Jawahar Circle, marking another major addition to the area.

The complex will offer modern facilities for various sporting activities and provide young people and emerging athletes with better opportunities to develop their skills. It will also provide Jaipur residents with advanced sports and fitness facilities to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.

The sports complex is expected to contribute to the overall development of the Jawahar Circle area and give it a new identity.

Mahajan said the JDA is continuously working to increase the city’s green cover, promote biodiversity and provide residents with a better environment.

He said the proposed rose garden and nursery at Jawahar Circle would not only represent an important step towards environmental conservation but would also enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal and provide a fresh boost to tourism.
