Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin’s Governance: Achievements in Healthcare!

Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin’s leadership in the medical field has been notable, particularly in Mamalappa, Amamachar, Kujoth, and Bamakalaya, regions within Astibelia Country. Over the past three years, 545 awards have been achieved! Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated a new initiative aimed at providing comprehensive medical facilities to all residents of Tamil Nadu. Those involved in setting up these schemes will find great success in Mumbai and will bring further recognition to Tamil Nadu.

The Makkamai Patadi Medical Project aims to deliver medical treatment to the people of Mamala Goma in the Krishnagiri District. During a 15-kilometer walk, the Hon’ble Minister for Medical and People’s Welfare, Amamachar, engaged with the community in eight Gomas to discuss their concerns. This initiative aims to ensure that no official or representative neglects the needs of the Mamala community.

In response to local health requirements, the Chief Minister developed a master plan called “Makkamaith Patadi Medicine,” which he presented at the Krishnagiri District Samai School on August 5, 2021. On that day, a new 108-ambulance service was also launched to assist individuals in critical need, including a person who had lost both limbs. As a result, over the past three years, there has been a remarkable increase in medical care, with 632 percent growth in the allocation of funds, rising from 80 lakhs to 85 lakhs.

The Innuiir Kappaam – Nammamak Kakum 48 project is a life-saving initiative launched across Tamil Nadu. This program aims to enhance medical care for women in the state. Additionally, Mr. Stalin, committed to wildlife protection and preventing loss of life among wild animals, inaugurated a related project on December 18, 2021, in Pamalmaruvathur. Under this scheme, the government has approved 237 hospitals, 455 private hospitals, and 692 health facilities.

Through this scheme, 2.25 lakh farmers have received medical treatment, ensuring their livelihoods are preserved. The Hon’ble Chief Minister awarded Rs. 5,000 as an incentive and conferred the title of “Narkarumana Veen” while initiating a supportive project. The Vatazhilairgam Padati Medical Scheme highlights the Chief Minister’s significant role in assisting the Vatazhi community, contributing to the country’s prosperity. With a focus on their welfare and protection, a new initiative called Vataziliirgam Padti Medicine was launched in Hyundai Vamabis Vadazhithsamalaya, located in Kadam Thuril, Thiruvallur District, on January 9, 2024. Notably, this scheme has rehabilitated 527,000 individuals from 711 Vatazilashamals, with 26,861 beneficiaries receiving aid from Vatadar Sikichmasa.

The Varumun Kappam Scheme, introduced by Muthamil scholar Kamalanjar in 2007, began as a small project in Tamil Nadu and has evolved over the past decade. Consequently, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin revised the focus of the plan to “Save before the arrival of Kamalanjara” and has committed to conducting 1,250 camps per year across 15 locations. Over the last three years, significant resources have been allocated to enhance medical services and ensure peace of mind. Under His Excellency’s guidance, 25 new temples and 100 small temples will be constructed.

The Puth Scheme, launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin, aims to protect children’s lives by providing adequate medical facilities and facilitating early detection of health issues. This project was inaugurated on Jumala Monday, 2023, in Kamadayam, Bhasalam District. Through this scheme, 56 lakh children have benefited.

Additionally, the increasing number of dog bite cases has raised concerns among the public. In response, the Chief Minister has mandated the provision of medicines for both dog bites and mango bites in hospitals, as well as the availability of anti-snake venom treatments.

(Anti-Rabies Vaccine) Every year, 2,286 people are vaccinated across all four hospitals. This reflects the dignity of the Honorable Chief Minister and the beauty of his vision.

The Mudamamachar Expanded Medical Insurance Scheme, initiated by Muthamizharinjar Kamalanjar in 2009 under the Wamagail Kamalanjar Insurance Scheme, aims to support the elderly and cover high medical expenses at private hospitals. The scheme quickly gained popularity, especially in Tamil Nadu, where it has facilitated the use of 108 medical vehicles. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin, the scheme received additional funding and has significantly expanded. While it originally covered 970 medical centers, it now encompasses 1,834 centers, providing livelihood support to 47 lakh households in under a year.

India’s first organ donation program was launched in 2008 by Dr. Kamalanjar to raise public awareness about organ donation. This initiative allows for the retrieval of hearts and other organs from deceased individuals, with parental consent, for transplantation. Women’s medical equipment is utilized to save lives, and appropriate regulations for this administration are necessary. On September 23, 2023, Honorable Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin announced that individuals in need of organ transplants would receive support, highlighting the importance of this scheme.

On September 7, 2024, at Vasanmai Yojiv Gandhi Jesus Medical College Hospital, Minister of Medicine and People’s Welfare Mr. M. Suppemanian facilitated the transplantation of organs from a mother to her 5-year-old son, marking a significant milestone as the 250th Jesus Mariamada celebration for the community.

Out of 467 organ donations, 223 hearts, 292 kidneys, 409 livers, 810 corneas, and 2,789 organs were donated, giving new life to many. Tamil Nadu’s first legislation on organ transplantation represents a groundbreaking initiative that sets a new standard in medical care.

To improve medical services, new facilities are being developed, and high-quality medical products are essential. In various locations, medical doctors are provided with regular appointments and support. Over the past three years, 1,947 doctors have been appointed from a total of 3,238 by the Medical Nurses Recruitment Board. Additionally, India’s first facility-based disaster consultation has been conducted, and 1,911 midwives working in Jesus Hospitals have been appointed to permanent positions.

It should be noted that 1,412 volunteers worked in temporary shelters during disasters, alongside Adi Madaila and Niyamaim Vasiyaap Tulair. Kindi Hospital is a unique landmark globally. Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Dovida Model Asin Magattai, which serves as a distinctive symbol of the Kamalanjar Centenary High Education Hospital. This Kamalanjar Centenary Medical College was established by the 6th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at an estimated cost of Rs. [insert amount]. It is projected that 313,864 people will benefit from the services of this hospital.

Not only does this hospital address disaster needs, but it also plays a crucial role in medical education, as no similar institution exists in any of India’s 36 states. It features advanced medical technologies, including robotic surgery equipment, a 1.5 Tesla BioMatrix Auto MRI, Double Balloon Enteroscopy, Holmium Laser, and state-of-the-art 3D microscopy—facilities that are unparalleled in India. These tools are among the most sought-after medical resources for the community served by Kamalajan’s century-old higher education hospital.

Additionally, 19 Jesus Hospitals are being upgraded to provide services for Jesus Tamil Mothers, with 6 hospitals specifically designated for this purpose, supported by an allocation of Rs. 1,018.85 per month.

The ongoing health promotion program was highlighted during a visit by the Hon’ble Minister of Health and People’s Welfare and the Minister of Health and Welfare of Tumai to the Health Walk Road in Patakibaya, Tamalanagar, located 8 km east of the main area. This Health Walk Road encourages residents to walk 10,000 steps daily, promoting better health—a tradition upheld by the Chief Minister.

In Tamil Nadu, the proposal to establish Sukhade Namadap Yitsi Samalakamai has been put forth for all 38 districts. On November 4, 2023, the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin appointed 38 committees for this initiative.

The Veterinary Medicine Conference for Tamil Nadu Medical Center will take place from January 19 to 21, 2024, in Velar, India, under the theme “Annual Universal Medical Conference 2024.” This event will host 11,000 delegates from 70 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, Singapore, Qatar, Astibelia, and Qaida, along with 28 renowned medical experts and 150 medical professionals from across India. Over 625 commissions will be awarded at this conference, which aims to provide valuable guidelines for future medical research.

In Tamil Nadu, 21,818 eyes have been donated through 20 eye banks, facilitating the surgical replacement of damaged irises, a significant contribution to community health.

In the year 2023 alone, approximately 10,000 individuals will be able to live independently. The Ophthalmology Department has established the Mandal Eye Clinic at a cost of Rs. 16.5 per square meter in the Thanjavur Esu Iosa-Misoudar Hospital under the David Model initiative. District hospitals in Tiruvallur, Vathankasi, Thirup Toor, and others will receive high-quality eye medical equipment at a cost of Rs. 7.25 per kg.

As part of the bicentennial celebrations of the Vasanmai Mandal Eye Hospital, a new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 65.60 per square meter, with additional high-rise facilities provided at Rs. 8 per square meter. For the Jesus Nurses, life-saving medications worth Rs. 3,888.52 per quintal and medical supplies worth Rs. 1,875.26 per quintal will be supplied in the first three years from 2021.

In celebration of Dr. Kamalanjara’s centenary, 103 free medical camps will be conducted in the name of health care and public welfare, benefiting 189,000 people, including 10,083 women in Vasanmai alone. This year, 99,935 families will be enrolled in a new insurance scheme during these medical camps across all districts.

Availability of Mobile Medical Teams includes the establishment of 389 new teams at an estimated cost of Rs. 70.02 per month, with a total of 7.42 lakh camps to be conducted through 396 Mobile Medical Teams.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin, Tamil Nadu has received recognition for its commitment to the welfare of the people. The state was awarded first place in India for providing hepatitis B testing to pregnant women and has been recognized as the best state for maternal care. Tamil Nadu is also the first state to be awarded the Lilli Sukataem and Ambassador Program.

Additionally, Tamil Nadu has received the Best State Award from the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization and the Best Performance State Award from the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society. The Tamil Nadu Health Care Award was also presented during the Tamil Nadu Health Awards, with a total of 545 awards received over three years. The National Quality Assurance Standards Award was established by Union AC in 2012, leading to 79 awards for Tamil Nadu from 2012 to 2021.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin will present these accolades.

A total of 545 awards have been given over 35 years, marking the completion of the Dhovida model regime. On October 3, 2023, a delegation of 60 medical officers from the Gujot Medical Group, including the Medical Director Dr. Obajash Mawatya, visited Tamil Nadu for three days to strengthen the state’s medical infrastructure. At the end of their visit, they praised Tamil Nadu’s medical facilities as significantly more affordable than those in Gujot, stating, “It will take another 20 years for the medical infrastructure in Tamil Nadu to reach the level of our state.”

Additionally, 29 doctors from Pamakalaya traveled to Tamil Nadu to participate in life-saving post-natal medical treatment organized by the Ootu Gujot Rajyathmadhat Vatadar of the Pamakalaya Medical Group. These doctors will receive certificates for their contributions. Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, Pamakalaya’s State Medical Officer, remarked, “Thanks to the assistance provided by Tamil Nadu, our state has been able to offer life-saving support today. Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin deserves our gratitude.”

Furthermore, Ms. Amber-Jade Sanderson, the Health Minister of Western Hospital, visited Tamil Nadu after observing the construction of several hospitals there, noting that such medical facilities are lacking even in Australia. The Tamil Nadu Minister of Medical and Public Welfare has consistently promoted health initiatives in Maythan Ota Patti, earning respect and recognition for his outstanding work in the medical field. Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin’s model of healthcare shines like a jewel atop the crown of Tamil Nadu’s achievements.
