In addition to the mesmerizing display of lamps, a divine laser show and green fireworks are planned to captivate visitors. These special attractions aim to create an ethereal atmosphere, drawing in both local residents and international tourists.

The Dev Deepawali, which falls on November 15 this year, will see Kashi’s crescent-shaped ghats bathed in the warm glow of the lamps. This year, more than 12 lakh lamps will light up over 84 ghats, ponds, and tanks in Kashi, with public participation.

According to Rajendra Kumar Rawat, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, around 2.5 to 3 lakh of these lamps will be made from cow dung.

Lamps will also be placed on the sandbanks across the Ganga, fully illuminating the eastern side of the ghats. In addition to the lamps, the ghats will be cleaned, and the centuries-old historical ghats along the Ganga will be lit up with facade and electric lights.

A laser show will depict the story of Ganga Avtaran and Shiva Mahima on the ghats.

Furthermore, there will be a display of eco-friendly, green fireworks on the sandbanks across the Ganga, spreading a message of environmental protection.

It is worth mentioning that tourists from India and abroad flock to witness this spectacular scene of Kashi during Dev Deepawali, and hotels, guesthouses, boats, and cruises are fully booked during the festival.
