Inauguration of the ‘Chief Minister War Room’ at the Secretariat by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai : The newly renovated ‘Chief Minister War Room’ and mural on the seventh floor of the Secretariat were inaugurated today by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde by pressing the remote control button. Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Vikas Kharge, Principal Secretary and Director General of Information and Public Relations Department, Brijesh Singh, and other dignitaries were present at the event.

After the inauguration, Chief Minister Shinde reviewed the facilities in the war room. He was briefed about the dashboard developed to monitor state projects, the current status of project files, notifications sent to the respective departments with pending projects, and other relevant information. These systems are expected to expedite project completion within the stipulated timeframe.

The ‘Chief Minister War Room’ continuously monitors and follows up on infrastructure projects across the state. The new war room is spacious and equipped with advanced technology.

Features of the War Room:

  • Review of various stages of 74 projects across 15 sectors in the state.
  • Coordination between implementing agencies and funding bodies for project completion.
  • Creation of executive, sectoral, and project dashboards to assess the progress of work in each area.
  • Notification and alert system for relevant departments to resolve issues in ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Real-time monitoring system to address hurdles in projects.
  • Effective coordination and tracking system between departments to resolve project-related issues.

Key Highlights of the War Room:

  • The interior design and color scheme resemble a corporate office.
  • A mural in the entrance reflects the ongoing infrastructure developments in the state.
  • LED screens for easy viewing of presentations from multiple angles.
  • Currently, around 70 infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹4 lakh crore across 15 sectors are being monitored on the dashboard.
  • The CM War Room has received about 350 project-related issues to date, of which 165 have been resolved.
  • More than 200 meetings have been conducted to accelerate project completion.
