Sagar to host the fourth Regional Industry Conclave

The year 2025 has been declared as the “Industry Year” by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to promote industrial development. Under this initiative, Madhya Pradesh’s bi-annual flagship event “Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investor Summit 2025” will be held in Bhopal in February 2025.

To start the journey of balanced and equitable development in Madhya Pradesh, strategically promote investment and attract investors to the region, Sagar is going to host the fourth Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) on September 27, 2024. The event is the fourth edition of the series of successful conferences held in Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior, aimed at promoting industrial development and cooperation across the state.

The conclave will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy Ground in Sagar, located in the culturally rich and economically dynamic Bundelkhand region. The aim of this conclave is to bring together more than 2,500 participants including leading industrialists, representatives of various industry associations on one platform to promote meaningful discussions and collaboration. This conclave will be a confluence of ideas, innovation and investment, showcasing Madhya Pradesh as a fast growing industrial hub. With the development of key sectors like food processing, overall economic mining, engineering and petrochemicals, the region is poised for growth.

The aim of this conclave is to harness regional potential and remove disparities in industrial development. It is also to promote regional development by showcasing the industrial capabilities and opportunities of the region, strengthening MSMEs and attracting investors.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will highlight the government’s commitment to enhance the business ecosystem and promote balanced development in the conclave. CM Dr. Yadav will inaugurate industrial units through virtual medium and distribute land allotment orders to investors. CM Dr. Yadav will hold one-to-one meetings with investors, which will further enhance cooperation between the government and industrialists. The representatives will be informed about investment opportunities in various sectors including mining, tourism, MSME, handloom, handicrafts and cottage industries.

After the inaugural session, investors will attend a networking lunch to promote relations among industry stakeholders. There will be round table meetings and other sessions, where discussions over important sectors like renewable energy, petrochemicals, agriculture, food processing, technology and garments will be held.

In addition, there will be ODOP (One District-One Product) workshop and buyer-seller meetings, which will provide a platform to local entrepreneurs and businesses to showcase their products and services.

At present, 5 industrial areas are developed in Sagar district, which include Sidhguan, Industrial Area Naugaon Bina, Industrial Subhash Nagar Sagar, Semi-Urban Industrial Institute Bina and Rural Karmshala Rahli. Infrastructure like roads, electricity etc. is fully developed in these areas. So far, investment proposals worth more than Rs. 2.22 lakh crore have been received in three regional industry conclaves and four road shows. It will create more than 2.73 lakh employment opportunities.
